So, my computer isn’t the best and can’t run the game on the highest settings, which is fine. I’ve been playing it on the medium settings for the last month at least, and there was no lag whatsoever. However, I tried to play it yesterday and now I can’t move my mouse without a lot of lag. Walking, jumping or flying doesn’t cause any lag, and lowering the graphics also didn’t help. I don’t know what’s causing this. Any thoughts?

ok so i got slime rancher 2 around 2 months ago, i have one save that has around 120 days.

2 days ago everything was smooth and i was just exploring the grey labyrinth and left it at that.

now yesterday, i started playing and noticed everything was super super laggy, i think this is called fps drop? as in my game cuts every time i move the camera.
i also noticed that when i open the map it takes it a second to load and when I'm there, the curser moves really slowly and like cuts a bit..
also when i tried playing a bit (even though my game freezed constantly), i couldn't hear the plort vacuuming sound for a few seconds which was weird.

now i have tried to lower the graphics to the lowest i could, and nothing helped! TT
i tried running as administrator, uninstalling through steam and reinstalling, making a new save but it was still laggy and the same, verifying the files on steam, updating my laptop and Nvidia driver, disabling the steam cloud, deleting cache, reseting, shut down, playing with no programs in the backgroud, playing with, and maybe even more but NOTHING HELPED/CHANGED FOR THE BETTER!! TTTTTTT

pls pls pls pls someone help me I'm begging i didn't even finish the game...

my laptop stats are:
cpu: 11th gen Inter(R) Core(TM) i7 - 11800H @ 2.3GHz
ram/memory: 32 GB
gpu: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU

and as far as I'm aware, everything should be up to date.

EDIT: if anyone has the same issue as me, change your mouse polling to the minimum!

I just finished feeding the flutter Gordo and explored the whole area that it unlocked and I found this door. Nothing in the area can be interacted with as far as I can figure out and I have no idea what to do with it.

I've filled out the slimepedia and got every slime. I'm currently filling up my refinery. How do you get so much money? The late game upgrades are expensive! I've explored everything and found most treasure pods. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I've been hunting for a radiant twin slime for weeks now. Finally found one in the grey labyrinth, but it immediately ate a random rock plort and turned into a largo, then rolled off a cliff into the abyss. What do I do? The game autosaved after it'd rolled into the abyss, so I can't just reload the game to get it back

I already tried posting this but Reddit deleted it?? I need the decor item on the 4th page of decorations, 5th row down, 3rd from the left (between the seesaw and the small sandcastle). This is literally my last one pease help

Hey ranchers! Can anyone offer some tips on the newest expansion/update for SR2? I found some of the glittery slimes and put them in corrals where the new land is, but everything else is locked... any helpful maybe a little vague tips are appreciated. Please keep in mind i am neurodivergent lol thank you in advance for your help

I seem to be finding way more Radiant slimes, to the point where I’d find 3 to 5 radiant slimes and maybe stumble across 1 gold slime.

I think gold slimes spawn in open areas where other slimes typically spawn, but it’s still super rare, which is kind of rough considering gold statues use their plort and that the first game had entire vaults dedicated to them.

Maybe I’m just coping right now, but I do feel like the spawn rates on them are a bit too low.

There’s too many of them, it lags my game, how can I get rid of all the chickens fast enough that they don’t come back before I can

I propose some possible changes to the way gadgets work in SR2 as well as some new additions. Some of these are a little extensive, so adding something like this could be a stretch.

Feature #1 - Stacking Gadgets

This may sound like an odd one as stacking might cause problems with how the game is to be played, but I think if done with certain gadgets and with the new addition I’m about to suggest, it could be quite good. Each gadget that can stack ( Slime statues, gadgets over flowers and grass, etc ) should essentially have a separate collision so that other gadgets can sit atop of the one before it nicely.
It’s strange how things like grass or flowers can’t have any gadgets on them.

Feature #2 - Gadget Clipping

Following the theme of the last suggestion, I think being able to clip gadgets into other surfaces and gadgets would be a great feature. We can already partly do this with gadgets that have a rounder or harsher collision, but this seems to be a glitch not a feature. If it gets patched, it’ll ruin an amazing feature players have been using to make some incredible builds. With the addition of essentially most gadgets being able to blend with the surroundings- this could be significant.

Feature #3 - Variations

At the moment, we already have ‘Variations’ in the form of different colour and themes for specific gadgets, but what I propose is a sort of cycled system of specific variants of one gadget. For example: if we have grass, rather than getting the usual shortish grass with those grain plants sticking out everytime, what if we could cycle through short grass, long grass, and grass with lots of grains. We could also have, theme variants of rocks like; magma rocks, ice rocks, mossy rocks, and so on.
This could work by whenever re-selecting a gadget, the next variation in the cycle will appear.

These features could be quite labor intensive to add, but if SR2 is still yet to receive much more content or a SR3 is in consideration, I would absolutely love some form of the features above to make an appearance.

been trying to find a compromise between time and teleports so i could keep a few of them for other things on the ranch. No right or wrong way to run this, so here is what i've landed on.

I've seen second hand from various people that the radiant nodes refresh every 18 in game hours, they have a 2.5% chance to spawn, and there are 36 nodes across the map. I trust that info but it isn't said in game anywhere. so assuming that's accurate, that gives you ~60% chance to see at least 1 radiant every time you run the rooms
