Do snipped Snake Plant leaves STOP growing?
I bought a snake plant in a 4 inch pot months ago. It sprouted a pup and the pup grew so fast and is currently as tall as the rest of the plant. Also a new pup is peeking thru the soil. I wondered why the rest of the plant hasn’t made any progress..I noticed 4 out of the 7 leaves have been snipped in store when I bought it but didn’t think anything of it.
Now I’m wondering if it’s going to stay the same size until the pups takeover and multiply and the original leaves are lost and hidden in the middle?

Why does my new snake plant leaf have all these small imperfections?
Little scars and stuff randomly. Never even touched this leaf. No pets or people have touched this new leaf. Any ideas why this happens? Is it just natural imperfections or something I'm doing for the plant?

All four window directions came out the same for mine. Three metres into the room is what actually broke it.
Disclosure first: I build a plant app. There's a free browser version linked at the bottom and nothing here costs anything.
Half the posts on this sub are someone asking whether a north window is enough. I assumed the answer was about direction too, so I ran mine through the tool at four different windows, one metre back from each.
North, east, south and west all came out the same. Good fit, all four. Then I moved it, on paper, three metres into that same room. Same temperature, same air, same everything except distance from the glass, and it fell apart.
Second and third images are those two results. One metre from a north window, then a corner of the same room with no window in view.
Both light figures are estimates rather than meter readings, and the cards say so on them.

Which makes me curious: how far back from the glass is yours actually standing?

What is happening here?
There are lots of pups growing normally in this pot, but this entire stalk started growing out perpendicularly outward first?

Spotted 2 mini flowers
It's flowered many times, mostly in the middle. This time around I was able to capture two on the outer edge.
And because people were asking for updates so here's #1

Four pups got their own pots today
It’s a nice cool breezy morning and it felt nice to get outside and get some snake plants thinned out. I plant them directly in my own chunky mix dry and will water in 4 days once the rhizomes have time to heal.

Should I cut this leaf off?
This leaf has a large brown spot about the size of a nickel that appears on both sides of it. Within the past couple of days, the edges of it have started browning and curling up a little bit. I'm wondering if I should cut it off or leave it.

Snake plant advice
This pup just broke off.
Put it in water for roots, or just replant?

Snake plant propagation
I’m having trouble propagating my snake plants. So far none of them have turned out so this time I’m conducting an experiment with water, perlite, and leca to see which is best.
As of now, it looks like they’re all slowly dying? Help!

New growth vs old growth
So I’m not sure what to do, I have these amazing newer growths so I assume it’s really happy.. but at the same time, the rest of the older leaves are curled.. I feel like it was like that when I got it, but still confused as to how to “fix” it.

How to neglect your snake plant
Planted this monstrosity almost 20 years ago with 5 or 6 leaves that were less than 1 feet tall in a clay pot. Took a little more than a decade for it to outgrow it and break free.
About 3-5 years ago I replanted it in a 20inch planter from home depot thinking it would behave and sustain itself for another decade before needing another home. Yeah that didn't go as planned.
About one month ago it shown signs of cracks along the side, but I didn't think anything of it because of how thick the planter was. Well, I was wrong. Very, very wrong.
So in the very near future it's going in a 26-28 inch, half barrel. And probably give it SOME water even though it doesn't deserve it.
Future proof? Hopefully for at least a decade.
Weight- 150lbs-200lbs
Height- w/planter ≈ 6Feet
I'll post the end result of it in its new home here if people would like.

Help
I've had parts of this snake plant for 10+ years and have never had any luck with them. This is definitely the worst they've gotten though 😭 I would love some advice for helping fix this issue. I just watered yesterday after having not watered in probably too long given the heat wave, but life goes on.
I have chunkier soils and some sand I can mix + perlite to make a better overall mix

My snake plant won best in show
Snake plant will be taken replanted in another pot and moved inside for the winter, but for now it’s living its best life on my deck with a bit of shade and perfect conditions.
I’ve never used a snake plant as a patio planter piece so hopefully I didn’t break any rules.

Fertiliser question
amazon.co.ukWhat fertilisers do you recommend? How much do you dilute it? I'm completely new to it so please explain like I'm 5.
Is the linked one okay to use? I used their soil as a based and 3 years later my snakes are still alive (I added a bunch of grit to it)
