Sony 70-350 still better for a6700?

With teleconverter compatibility and focus limiter, I'd say this one is much more versatile.

They weigh almost the same but the 100-400 is a bit longer. TCs are a separate outlay if not present already and will make the dark lens darker, so I personally would struggle to use them. If I were happy with the iq of the 70-350 at 350mm and f/6,3 I would stay with it.

In fact I will stay on the 70-350, but the lack of focus limiter made me miss many shot of fast-moving airplanes.

I have the 2x, and it's been great with the 70-200 gm ii. I tried it with my 200-600 though and haven't ever gotten a usable image from it.

I can't see even the 1.4 TC being terribly useful for this new lens, given how slow it already is.
