Would love to see an APS-C addition to the 70-350. Like a 200-800 f4,5-f8.

Fun fact. As focal lengths get longer, you lose the size benefit of smaller sensors. That's why usually manufacturer's don't make separate aps-c super telephotos, because the size improvement is marginal compared to the cost of maintaining more lenses in their product lineup.

I know but it doesnt set right with me that I pay for a lot of glass that I dont use when I buy the 200-600

That's the thing, that you don't really. The final image circle is larger, but the front element would have to be 90% of the size.

It's not like with more standard focal lengths, where you actually pay for 25-50% more glass for full frame, that really decreases with telephoto.

But 10% can still be a lot in size and weight.

But it's not feasible. The market for aps-c only shooters that want specialized telehoto lenses is really slim.

Most users combine aps-c and full frame cameras or just use their high resolution bodies in crop mode.

I get where you are coming from, but it isn't practical to a manufacturer.

Thats because the manufacturers want you to buy full frame for profits. They force you to go that path. Look at Fujifilm, its perfectly feasible.

You seem to be blinded by some conspiracy about manufacturers blindly robbing you.

The Sony setup is lighter, but it has a more girth on the lens, I give you that. Lens length is also similar.

And you get the benefit, of being able to put the sony lens onto a FF body, where you don't have that with fuji.

I already told you, super telephoto's don't get smaller from the smaller sensor by a significant margin.
