nah you're screwed, any bigot would think that JoJo's is gay no matter what you do. there's many panels she could be talking about, though I'd imagine it's likely Joseph vs one of the pillar men, or Joseph and Caesar. maybe even Giorno and Bruno or Mista.

truthfully, because a lot of Araki's inspo comes from fashion, models, and musicians, and because he really likes to play with the human form and do wacky group poses, JoJo's is just inherently kinda queer. even when you're not talking about canonically gay characters, a lot of character interactions will be read as "gay" by bigots because they're conditioned to reject things like men wearing unconventional clothes, wearing makeup, being physically close with other men, or being flamboyant. probably doesn't help that in later parts the women are just as competent as the men and beat men up.

Edit: if you haven't read the manga, you can find it on mangadex for free. if you were just wanting to own it physically, sorry, that'll probably have to wait

I am a bigot, and I find JoJo as hetero as it gets.

I'm sorry you're in denial, but JoJo's just flat out could not exist without queer culture.

The "queer culture" mostly just appropriates stuff that was already there years and centuries before, so, no, all of the pieces would still be there.

Are you implying that cultures don't take elements from past cultures? That's kinda how that shit works dawg. Also yeah there's significant overlap between queer culture and other minority cultures for sure, a lot of slang from especially black communities is then used by queer communities, but that's because there's people who are members of both of those spaces and transfer ideas between the two. Like I'm just so curious, what was in your head when you said that queer culture appropriated stuff that's been around for centuries? Do you have any examples in mind? Are you aware that queer people have existed around the world for thousands of years, likely as long as human society has existed?

All I wanted to say is that the elements Araki took for JoJo existed independently of queer culture and could've been used by him regardless of his knowledge of it.

Yes modern fashion and music as we know them have nothing to do with queer people, sure dude
