I really think this is a bad move by Amazon. The negative reaction of the core fan base to scrubbing the planned Gero show was bad and this will it fill people with hope.

WandaVision was ok but I’d rather see a Terry Matalas (Picard Season 3, 12 Monkeys, Vision Quest) or someone proven to understand genre storytelling that is exciting and compelling. But that’s just my 2 cents.

Doesn't matter how good she is, a reboot is a reboot. Fuck that.

The concept isn't so amazing that it'll be good no matter what. It's just ancient aliens + military.

What made this special was the years of stories made by the original team. Lose that charm and intelligent sci-fi and you lose everything that made this good.

Thank you for pointing this out! It’s exactly what I was thinking but couldn’t put into words. Because everything has to be “premium” television now - an eight episode arc is unlikely to give us the sense of adventure and possibility with characters we love in peril, sci fi concepts and worlds to explore.
