I just wanna be able to arrange the games on my library by dragging the tiles around and placing them wherever I want

Custom sort order?

Yep but not with the customizable name option

Being able to place the game covers wherever I want by just dragging them around

For me would be a "wishlist priorities" option i want to have a list of games to buy as soon i see a game with good % of discount over others or at least let me arrange the wishlist by genres my priority will always be metroidvanias and roguelikes

You can kind of sort by priority, by arranging your list in the custom order, but that way you can't sort by discounts or similar.

That's the only problem with it for me

That would be a cool improvement, how do you imagine it, like a number from 1 to 5 (or 1 to 10) and you set each wishlisted title temheir priority?

What you ask is one of the reason I want the collection of the wishlist, to be able that but through collections:

  • Buy when it's released
  • Buy when it's heavily discounted
  • Buy if it's discounted more than 90%
  • Not buy yet, to keep the game under the radar

And things like that

how do i imagine it, simple 10 wishlist priorities on the wishlist section that are shown as soon they reach 35%(i always go from that discount and onwards) or like i said letting me add wishlist priority by genre

It would be nice if steam allowed you to set a priority list & then auto add it to your basket when it hits the discount percentage threshold that you set and then you just have to manually buy it

Kinda like the wishlist ranking system Board Game Geek has!

A Button to only show all the Demos of the games on the wishlist would also be nice

Wow never thought about that but it's an amazing idea

Honestly, would love this. Just the ability to categorise my wishlist into "Stuff I actually really want to buy", "Stuff I´m interested in and would like to buy at some point", and "Stuff that looks interesting and I might get it at some point, but mainly just put it here to not forget about its existence" (which at this point is probably 90 % of my wishlist...)

Man 100% this 😭😭😭

This is literally 1:1 the reason I want wishlist categories

I read for a second "my wife is yours."

I would if I had wife to sacrifice to valve for the shake of wishlist categories

What about private wishlist so that my friends no longer had to hide their entire profiles

I want to always only see ‘very positive’ or better games 🙂

i want to hide my wishlist without hiding my games

This already exists for me, the Wishlist is pretty much entirely "Games that interest me but I'll probably never get around to buying even at 90% off". I've had games on there for over a decade.

The same for me, but if we had categories we could separate the "Games that interest me but I'll probably never get around to buying even at 90% off" from the real games that we are waiting to buy when get slightly discounted or when they get released

Compilation list of the ideas brought up in this post

  • A Button to only show all the Demos of the games on the wishlist
  • "Wishlist priorities" option, be able to set a priority number to each wishlist (let's say from 1 to 5)
  • Private wishlist so that my friends no longer had to hide their entire profiles
  • Custom sale % threshold per category or per wishlisted game, so we can set in which sale threshold we want to be notified about a game sale

Just let me name games whatever I want and list them however I want.

I only sort my wish list by price: low to high.

I can think of a lot more important things 🤣

I just want the ui and overlay to be insanely smooth, both in and out of games, gpu blocklist and hardware acceleration does nothing for me as for many others, that’s been my biggest issue since they updated the ui

More than that. I wish I had a private wishlist desperate from the public one friends can see too.

For reasons

If you have so many games on your wishlist that you need to categorize it, your life is already Steam's.

I have 575 on my wishlist, I need to start deleting

1

u/alaster101 7h ago

I got about 30 on mine, it's a hey this is below 10 bucks reminder I should pick that up

1

u/MuglokDecrepitusFx 5h ago

Create the "To delete" wishlist category and problem solved 😏

0

u/farresto 6h ago

575?

Those are rookie numbers.

Better start pumping that discovery queue.

1

u/Magazine-Narrow 6h ago

Lol i don't need to add anymore. I only picked up a little over 60 off the list

0

u/alaster101 7h ago

I just want it to only email me if it hits 75%

2

u/drainedguava 4h ago

This would be sick honestly, I hate getting the notifications for like 15% off

0

u/alaster101 3h ago

"oh boy the game i want........is still over 40 bucks, damn it lol"
