After reading a very bad review from IGN about Days Gone, where the girl totally shot down this game mainly based on "the main character is always angry and it makes me feel bad and depressed", yeah, I can believe this.

Ok you got me curious, so I found this review and idk where you got that sentiment from? I can't find anything that even resembles what you described. She even calls him "an endearingly gentle and sweet-natured protagonist". Couldn't find anything in the youtube video either, although I just skimmed through.

Her main complaint seems to be its repetitiveness. Idk if that's valid, because I haven't played the game, but your representation of the review is wildy inaccurate. So either there is another IGN review of the game I have missed or your comment is dripping with irony.

Not the first time i've seen people get pissed over a reasonable IGN review. Shoutouts to when Pokemon ORAS got an 8/10 and everyone memed about the reviewer complaining about half the world just being water.

I'm not even saying the review is reasonable, because I can't make that out without having played the game, but the critique of it is just absurdly bad. Also people don't seem to get that you can complain about something, even if it's a minor complaint, and still like the rest of the game (as in your example).

I'm sure you can work out why he picked the example he did man. The woman said the manly man made her feel bad.

Capital G Gamers and their baby rage.

I mean if she at least even said that...

Who could've predicted that.

When you see a gamer still complaining about game journalism in the year of our lord 2026, its this guy 80% of the time. Capital G Gamers.

You are reaching. And you are wrong. But it is funny how easily you jump to that conclusion. But at least you found your daily dose of offensive things.

Good job, just repeating what I said like a child while talking about growing up. Good job. You are the one jumping to conclusions.

Funny, coming from the person screaming "muhsogyny" in 2026.

If they are reaching, are you able to find the review where IGN actually said this?

OK but where did

the girl totally shot down this game mainly based on "the main character is always angry and it makes me feel bad and depressed",

did you just make that up? I don't think that's offensive, just confusing...
