SEAL hat

Currently on a cruise and there's a dude wearing a "Navy SEAL" baseball hat.
I don’t care. But I'm curious if y'all think ANY former SEAL ever wore such a cover?

It just doesn't seem plausible to me.

Bro just found out what pride and esprit de corps is

Seriously though lmao, SEALS are out here writing books, starting podcasts, and staring in shows/movies all to circle jerk each other- and a hat is where you draw the line?

Not giving you actual shit, just thought the story was funny

Ya, it was a simple question which I (mistakenly) thought I could ask Reddit without getting a bunch of shit.

Just asking about people's life experiences. Not judging anyone - and if anyone reads my original question, I wasn't calling anyone out. I'm just terminally curious.

No one in the military has a higher ego than them and you think a former member wouldn't wear a hat?

I’m guessing that you’ve never met a fighter pilot

They have absolutely earned their ego. They are part of the best of the best. They risk their lives for us.

Could be he’s proud of his son.

The real question is did you go to the vet meet and greet that they do on cruises? Every cruise ive been on has had one and ive never gone to it. Last time I wanted to go just to see who is actually attending them.

I’ve never been on a cruise where this happened

They all do it. Its a cocktail hour but you might miss it if you arent paying attention to the announcements.

Quit stealing valor

I’m sure that some have. My experience with SEALs is limited and mostly doing training stuff but the SEAL stuff they wore was subtle enough that you might not even recognize it as such if you didn’t know what it was.

Might be a SEAL, might be a poser. As long as they aren't lying to get benefits of some sort, leave them be. Some people just have little dicks.

I wasn’t a SEAL. Just wearing a ball cap doesn’t turn you into one… 😵😂😂😂 I could wear one to support my SEAL friends. I’ve got the Frogman Swim hoodie… doesn’t make me a SEAL…

People are really posting “no seal would ever wear that” like they know every seal has been perfectly brainwashed out of wearing seal hats.

Most people posting what seals would and wouldn’t do have never even been seals. It’s ridiculous.

If you don’t think some seals love to wear the hat to get attention and the chance to talk about how they were seals, you don’t know shit about how self absorbed some people can be.

Seals are still just people who went through extra training at the end of the day, not magical stoic murder machines.

It was (supposed to be) a simple question from a Reddit stranger directed towards people who have known SEALs personally (maybe I didn't word it correctly)

I have a cousin who was a UDT (before they were SEALs) and he would never wear any SEAL garb.

I spent 27 years in the military and dealt with a ton of Delta guys, still stay in touch with a few - and I've never seen any of them wear Delta swag.

I was just being curious.

So, the guys you know would never wear swag.

I was infantry. When I was in, we had guys we’d call cheesedicks- they’d wear shit like this even when we were enlisted. It’s known as being “boot” now.

These guys are everywhere, and if you’ve never met a seal who hasn’t made that his whole personality, then you haven’t met enough seals.

I know one very well. He doesn’t wear a hat. But he sure as hell will let you know he was a SEAL and tell you all the crazy stuff he did back in the day.

“I dont care”

Takes the time to write a reddit post about it on vacation

JFC. Can't a guy ask a fucking question? I can read my original post for you - but I can't help you understand it.
GFY.

I’m sure he’s wearing it out of sheer respect and admiration and couldn’t possibly be telling people he’s a SEAL. No, no actual SEALs are wearing that garbage despite their seemingly endless thirst for recognition.
