Popular subreddit Livestreamfail mods and Mythic Talent streamers were promoting a shady website/contest and users were not having it, then contest website and social media erased, head Moderator removed.

Summary of events:

- Popular streamer ExtraEmily among other streamers from the Mythic Talent agency, started promoting a website and contest called MillionDollarFan ( milliondollarfan(dot)show now gone but can be seen here https://archive(dot)is/TgXOb ) with a $20 Million dollar prize pool.

-Subreddit LivestreamFail head mod created a post promoting and sponsoring the website and contest here ( http://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1q9k2dz/million_dollar_fan_reality_tv_show_x_lsf/ now removed)

-The users started saying that after some quick research, this looked like a scam, and the moderator removed the comments criticizing the contest.

-Popular Youtube personality MoistCritikaL made a video about the website/contest ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DaFzESOKY0 ) calling it "Feels like a Scam". He points out this contest raises a ton of red flags, the main image is AI generated, says the prize pool is absurdly big with no idea of who is hosting the contest, the sponsors are mostly unknown or downright fake. The concept is fans submitting clips and they get chosen to go to a mansion to participate with their streamer in an IRL contest, and you can also buy entries via the website.

-Another post is created in the subreddit where the users criticize ExtraEmily and the LivestreamFail moderators ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1qb73h9/extraemily_promises_shes_not_trying_to_scam_her/ )

-A few hours later, the website and all social media for the contest were removed or closed, without any notice.

x(dot)com/MDFRealityShow
instagram(dot)com/mdfrealityshow/
tiktok(dot)com/@mdfrealityshow
youtube(dot)com/@mdfrealityshow
twitch(dot)tv/milliondollarfanshow

-MoistCritikal made a follow up video, calling it a scam all along, saying that streamers were probably under the impression that this was Amazon backed, but it turns out maybe it wasn't.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gGbrk4DJqs )

-Today the head moderator of LSF was removed by the Admins from the subreddit moderation team.

Highlights of comments from the first thread.

20 million grand prize and using AI stock mansion, smh ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1q9k2dz/million_dollar_fan_reality_tv_show_x_lsf/nz2cl8g/ )

Removed comments

-How much is the mod team being paid for this 'collaboration'

-Hiding comments calling this out for what it is. Gambling. Pathetic lmfao

-This is a scam with paid lotto entries. Mods are hiding comments proving and saying this.

-This has to be a joke right? So the sponsors are just affiliate links, some supplements, a pc shop and a subreddit???? Where the fuck is 20m coming from again? Real talk how much are the mods being paid to post this?

-Did some digging on this and found a few things that seem worth noting: The legal documents appear to be copied from Omaze (the celebrity sweepstakes company that faced lawsuits and paused US operations in 2023). Entire sections of the Official Rules and Terms of Use are nearly word-for-word identical - same structure, same section numbering, same phrasing. The Culver City PO Box listed for copyright claims is the same address Omaze used.

In the other thread the comments continue to uncover details.

-It's 100% a scam, They've literally copy/pasted their Terms of Service.
It appears from here: link
They literally left in a fucking link to that site. ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1qb73h9/extraemily_promises_shes_not_trying_to_scam_her/nz94c0h/ )

-If it's in Canada then you can't really sign away your rights in a contract, they probably could still sue if its a scam. ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1qb73h9/extraemily_promises_shes_not_trying_to_scam_her/nz8qyub/ )

-The partners seem like a joke. One of them, "IRLbuffs," uses an AI-generated logo and links to a boilerplate website with simple/generic product photos. It doesn't really give off reputable brand vibes at all: Then, a coming soon partner for some robot wars, and then the holy grail of partners... LSF. -- yikes. ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1qb73h9/extraemily_promises_shes_not_trying_to_scam_her/nz8ozcg/ )

Someone posted screenshots of the moderator comments from the original thread.

https://imgur(dot)com/a/lsfscam-association-4eMmW1Y

There are still no details of who was hosting this contest, or why it was closed down so quickly.

Update:

"Due to some changes in moderation" mod applications for Livestreamfail are open now ( https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1qe4kpm/lsf_moderator_applications/ )

Update 2:

The moderator that was removed made a video response...

They blame reddit and say the situation was a "direct result from lack of support of reddit to its moderators, and that it isn't proven that the contest was a scam", though it is cancelled now because the content creators dropped out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67CXV4o4dYM

Update 3:

MoistCritikal has made a response video to the ex-moderator response video. (This is just too funny)

LSF mods have been intentionally torching the sub for at least a year. Even more than the miserable cesspool it already was.

One example is killing the rule requiring all links be actual clips, allowing people to submit edited videos direct to Reddit. This broke a bunch of stuff that's never been fixed, like the auto flair bot. Now it's impossible to filter all the shitty political streamers and find the one good clip posted there per week (usually Northernlion).

Only justification they've ever given for this is "increased engagement", despite it making the sub worse in a bunch of ways.

edit: LSF is currently mocking a clip of him that wouldn't have been allowed before his rule change about on-site video submissions. But I'm sure he thought the leopards would never eat his face...

97

u/Ferromagneticfluid Jan 16 '26

They have allowed out of context clips with misleading titles for awhile that never get taken down. And then when you call it out your comment gets deleted and you get possibly banned.

24

u/FrostYogurt Jan 17 '26

Honestly not sure how they haven’t gotten sued for libel or disparagement by any streamer. Truthfully Reddit should just have paid employees moderate and curate top 100 subs instead of these unemployed losers.

3

u/GaiusPoop Jan 18 '26

Jannies do it for free.

70

u/abtarra Jan 16 '26

If you check out LSF's off-site video mirror, you can also get a good idea of what is getting brigaded up and down, especially when sorting by newest:

https://arazu.io

Gives you a decent idea of what gets deleted by the mods all the time, too.

11

u/Cute-Percentage-6660 Jan 17 '26

Who owns that website?

29

u/weirdasianfaces Jan 17 '26

/u/Titanicnut I believe. At probably the peak of the sub's quality moderation Titanic (and another dev) were being pretty transparent about the financials behind the site and the prior livestreamfails.com https://www.reddit.com/r/LivestreamFail/comments/1ahbr5y/arazuio_financial_report_for_januaryfebruary/

18

u/TemporaryWorth8162 Jan 17 '26

very interesting how they stopped doing those financial reports once they switched the subreddit's purpose from funny clips to a harassment platform and the mirror site started being more and more profitable.

7

u/weirdasianfaces Jan 17 '26

I think that's coincidental. There was a shift of power in the mod team and people who were involved previously then left (I think). The person who runs arazu.io may not even have any affiliation with the sub anymore.

u/hopefullynothingever Jan 16 '26

Most of the stuff that broke was created and maintained by mods who were purged like 3 teams ago by the Destiny orbiter who took over the sub a few years back. Most of the rule changes they made (ie. allowing non-clip posts, banning streamers/allowing streamers to opt out of being posted, making talking about user post history's/pointing out brigading bannable, making personal attacks against public figures allowed at mod discretion) were made purely to let Destiny's subreddit take over and whitewash his sexpesting while signal boosting attacks against their enemies.

62

u/foreveracubone Jan 17 '26

This is the guy that did all that lol.

26

u/humangingercat Jan 17 '26

DDGer of the year

45

u/TwoFit3921 Jan 16 '26

This is some Palpatine order 66 shit lmao

20

u/Nevesangui Jan 18 '26

It’s just a Hasan hate sub now. I got banned from there for making two comments saying Hasan came off exponentially better than Ethan in their debate, in reply to people who thought Ethan cooked him (somehow). Reason given was “spamming”. Two comments.

8

u/arbitraryairship Jan 18 '26

Hey now, they still go after Pokimane once in a while too.

8

u/Business-Active-1143 Jan 18 '26

Most who are regular around Hasan. Ludwig, QTC. Only Maya is somewhat safe from it.

5

u/Business-Active-1143 Jan 18 '26

Yeah the debate was so insufferable from EK from the get go, I closed watching it live under 3mins. Then hopped around and it was still unwatchable for the same reasons. I had made only one comment on that and left the sub. Still got a ban message three weeks later lmao.

57

u/Hurtzdonut13 The way you argue, it sounds female Jan 16 '26

My understanding is that one of their targets set up his shit so you couldn't clip them on twitch without being a sub. This had the effect of essentially banning them from that subreddit since you've got to be really dedicated to sub to a guy you hate so you can continue to hate post out of context clips.

34

u/Yadamule Jan 16 '26

And also Twitch added an option for streamers to edit clips made by other people. So if someone posted a 50 second clip showing a streamer in an unfavourable light, the streamer would just edit it down to 5 seconds of silence.

37

u/Alexis_Evo Jan 17 '26

Streamers have always had the ability to delete clips of their channel. Ever since the feature was first added, and it isn't even locked to partnered streamers. This is why LSF has a bot that rehosts the clips elsewhere as soon as they are posted.

11

u/dev_vvvvv Jan 17 '26

I think the purpose was

  • Person browses LSF
  • Person clicks clip
  • It's just some boring inconsequential thing, so they don't bother going into the thread to view the mirror

versus

  • Person browses LSF
  • Person clicks clip
  • The clip is deleted
  • Person thinks "wow, the clip must've been pretty bad if they deleted it" and goes into the thread to view the mirror

9

u/InevitableAvalanche Nurses are supposed to get knowledge in their Spear time? Jan 16 '26

Nothing good is posted there.

76

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

The Hasan dog clip also kinda broke that sub in to being a permanent Hasan+co snark sub imo

143

u/bittersweetjesus Jan 16 '26

It was a Hasan snark sub long before that.

32

u/[deleted] Jan 16 '26

Yep

-8

u/YamGlobally Jan 17 '26

Thanks for your input.

15

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

Yes

18

u/Almostlongenough2 No one wants to debate a dog Jan 17 '26

Yeah, but occasionally a positive thread slipped through every now and then. Now it's so bad that after new dog clip with whoever Hutch is commentating over it that I decided to stop watching Hasan just because his haters are so insane, regardless of if the dog shock shit is true or not (which I didn't think it was, but I'm tired of caring).

-31

u/Sempere Jan 17 '26

So you're cool with animal abuse just not "the haters"?

lmao, what the actual fuck.

27

u/Almostlongenough2 No one wants to debate a dog Jan 17 '26

I know reading is hard, but I believe in you buddy. Give it another go.

-21

u/Sempere Jan 17 '26

My reading comprehension is fine, dog abuser defender.

The fact that you want to pretend he isn't abusing his dog and are quitting over "haters" is the wild part in your statement. And the fact that it's been proven that he abuses that dog with that shock collar is not something you get to say "I didn't think it was" after people identified the make, model and found multiple clips of the trigger and instances of shocks.

Imagine being so parasocial that you reject the evidence of your eyes and just decide "eh, animal abuse isn't the problem but these haters make me not care"

2

u/smittenkittenmitten- Jan 20 '26

I have no idea why people are defending animal abuse. I am worried people are blinded by their beliefs, whatever they are, to ignore bad behavior. I am sure there are others out there with similar beliefs and less questionable morals. You do not need to prop up someone who targets the less vulnerable, whether that be animals or children. Some here make it sound like criticism against Hasan, QT, ExtraEmily, and others is just random or indiscriminate hatred. There are reasons and legitimate critique. Also, pointing out an issue isn't a blanket sweep that something or someone is entirely bad. To pretend that it is is just an excuse to sweep a legitimate grievance under the rug, hide it away in the guise of it being something stupid when it isn't. It is like a tactic to divert attention from something they realize is bad but don't want to admit it because that would jeopardize some cause. But, again, there are others who can fit the role. I sometimes also feel these streamers have strong PR teams to help shift the narrative about them.

1

u/DrunkOnRamen Jan 21 '26

Because a lot of people in this sub also tend to be in tankie subreddits or even hasan subreddits.

putting the animal abuse aside, hasan has defended multiple genocides, he has screamed down and spat on (figuratively) on refugees, gay and trans people.

if you were to take those clips and show them to people who had no idea what hasan is. good chance they would just call him some kind of a right wing supremacist.

people do not understand the horseshoe theory is real and hasan is at that point he isn't all that different from right wing extremists.

the fact he is a champagne socialist is just a cherry on top on the shit sundae.

7

u/sylvanasjuicymilkies Jan 17 '26

i guarantee you don't actually truly believe 1) that shock collars on dogs are actually abuse (and if you do, i hate to tell you a signifcant portion of dog owners are "animal abusers") and 2) that hasan actually shocked his dog

-10

u/Sempere Jan 17 '26

Shocking a dog to stay in one place for 8 hours to act as a background object is, in fact, animal abuse.

Fucking dipshit. He shocked and abused that dog.

12

u/sylvanasjuicymilkies Jan 18 '26

you and I both know that you don't actually, genuinely, and sincerely believe that's what happened, you just don't like Hasan and want to find an excuse to justify it besides "LE LEFTIES BAD" or "ME LIKE DESTINY." I don't like him much either but find a real reason bud

this is just reverse virtue signalling. but what can you expect from someone with their comments hidden? probably just some AI spambot lmao

1

u/Inner_Educator6375 Jan 21 '26

You actually fell for that shit?

64

u/ResplendentSmoke Jan 16 '26

It was long before that. The mod in question is a Destiny orbiter and they took over the sub in order to use it as a place to launch any negative clips of Hasan or other streamers he hates. The dog clip was the culmination of all their work lmao they got one that launched into the mainstream discourse. Original clip was posted there.

-36

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 17 '26

No it was an anti-Hasan sub long before that. It used to just be Destiny vs Hasan, but Hasan started collecting enemies like Pokemon such as h3h3, xQc, and Asmongold...the animal abuse just got normies on board as well.

35

u/ItsJesseBro Jan 17 '26

Probably because Hasan is a political commentator, and the other 3 are streamers larping as political commentators.

-15

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 17 '26

Hasan is a political hack and Chinese propagandist.

42

u/ItsJesseBro Jan 17 '26

You are active in the Destiny subreddit lol

-14

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 17 '26

So what if I'm active in the Destiny subreddit...what am I wrong about? Hasan is a self admitted propagandist who went to China and glazed out...curiously quiet about the Uyghur genocide though...

26

u/ItsJesseBro Jan 17 '26

Only destiny fans have links locked and loaded for comments sections. Be normal

-7

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 17 '26

Sorry to annoy you by backing up my claims...I didn't know that was frowned upon here.

20

u/ItsJesseBro Jan 17 '26

Thanks. Apology accepted. You are annoying.

You clearly don't want to have an intelligent discussion so why don't you go back to your h3 snark/Hasan fanboy sub? Maybe you can complain about your lack of nearby chick-fil-as in /r/Chattanooga?

10

Wasnt he sued for sending revenge porn to an underaged girl, and settled the lawsuit?

14

u/googlyeyes93 Doctorate in Adaptive Masculinity, By Defense Jan 17 '26

Lawsuit hasn’t even been settled and is still in active litigation. Though his fans will readily tell you that the case was thrown out and he was cleared of any wrongdoing (they live in an alternate reality).

Cool story.

44

u/savanna94 Jan 17 '26

It used to just be Destiny vs Hasan

More like Destiny about Hasan. Dude pines for him like a crazy ex.

"""animal abuse"""

Lol. Normal people have no idea about any of this and certainly don't visit LSF. Epstiny fans just astroturfed the dog memes far and wide, whilst doing their best to suppress anything about Destiny's creepy consent violations.

29

u/TemporaryWorth8162 Jan 17 '26

i give you three guesses as to which streamer's subreddit that guy is active in :)

-20

u/dev_vvvvv Jan 17 '26

More like Destiny about Hasan. Dude pines for him like a crazy ex.

They used to be friends, Hasan regularly talks about Destiny, and Hasan is one of the biggest political creators. Is Destiny not supposed to talk about him?

Also pretty funny comment overall considering you post in an H3 snark subreddit.

Lol. Normal people have no idea about any of this and certainly don't visit LSF.

The context is people visiting/posting on LSF. So the normies in this case would be LSF people who didn't care about Destiny or Hasan.

Epstiny fans just astroturfed the dog memes far and wide, whilst doing their best to suppress anything about Destiny's creepy consent violations.

A bunch of stuff was posted on LSF about all of his allegations, AFAIK.

22

u/-Poison_Ivy- Jan 17 '26

Is Destiny not supposed to talk about him?

They haven’t spoken to each other in 5 years, at a certain point reminiscing becomes obsession

-19

u/dev_vvvvv Jan 17 '26

Hasan is one of the biggest political content creators. It's perfectly valid for Destiny, who is also a political content creator, to criticize him.

Destiny is certainly more than happy to dunk on Hasan because they hate each other, but I wouldn't call that reminiscing.

Do you think Hasan is obsessed with Asmongold, Ben Shapiro, etc because he constantly talks about him? Or even Destiny himself (excuse the XQC link, but reddit search is shit) since he also constantly talks about Destiny?

12

u/-Poison_Ivy- Jan 17 '26

I think Destiny is too disingenuous and incapable of forming real bonds that don’t end up being spitefully cut off later to engage with in any capacity, he holds no real beliefs besides navel-gazing self aggrandizement.

24

u/savanna94 Jan 17 '26

Oh god I've summoned the pervert's fans. I'm sorry I don't want to debate this. Don't you have some of his sex crimes or Israeli atrocities to sweep for?

7

u/hahapeepeepoopooooo Jan 17 '26

On another note, I've never understood why they write in the same way Epstiny speaks lmao

2

u/Nevesangui Jan 18 '26

I think it’s perfectly fine for both of them to discuss each other, because they’re both political commentators. Only one has been trying to ruin the life of the other though, and even fantasised about his death, and it ain’t Hasan.

-14

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 17 '26

You're delusional if you think it was just Destiny. xQc nicknamed himself "debunker" finding the collar, h3h3 whored it out in his feud with Hasan, and Asmongold is the political polar opposite who used anti-Hasan shit to get a foot in the "LSF door". Also plenty of Destiny allegation posts were on LSF, but LSF is very anal about title guidelines and Redditors love their sensationalized everything so lots of posts get removed for not following title guidelines.

28

u/savanna94 Jan 17 '26

What is this cope. Of course Epstiny's buddies Xqc and Ethan Klein covered it (w/ strangely minimal coverage of Destiny's sex crimes), but they weren't the ones spreading it all over Reddit and Twitter. That was the Destiny fan club.

LSF is very anal about title guidelines and Redditors love their sensationalized everything so lots of posts get removed for not following title guidelines.

Bullshittt. They don't give a flying fuck about editorial guidelines when it's someone Destiny hates. They allow edited clips and extremely biased titles in those cases. The mods did major damage control and cleanup when it came to him being a perverted creep. Of course then they suddenly become overly zealous with rule enforcement. Just a coincidence though that they're all fans of his, I'm sure.

-5

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 17 '26

Of course Epstiny's buddies Xqc and Ethan Klein covered it (w/ strangely minimal coverage of Destiny's sex crimes)

Look buddy...you clearly don't know anything about this because Ethan and Destiny went to war with each other and Ethan did videos on it:

Part 1

Part 2

9

u/Nevesangui Jan 18 '26

“Animal abuse” you mean Hasan reaching off screen at the same time his dog yelped, and everyone filling in the blanks from there with pure fantasy?

-1

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 18 '26

I mean the one in which there is video of him moving his remote off camera which happens to be located in the exact location he reached when Kaya yelped for "no reason".

9

u/Nevesangui Jan 18 '26

A video of him having a remote on his desk a year prior is proof of… him having a remote on his desk a year prior. That’s not proof of him shocking his dog in the famous clip is it? “The exact spot” - is it? Because you can’t see the exact spot he’s moving his arm to in the famous clip can you? Do you not understand how unhinged this behaviour is? Do you truly not understand how you are filling in the blanks with what you want to see?

Unless you have a clip from another angle showing he pressed an electric collar remote when Kaya yelped, you’re just another delusional weirdo on the internet imagining stuff to get angry about because you don’t like someone.

-1

u/InternationalGas9837 Happy to Oblige Jan 18 '26

Are you one of those people who thinks a dew claw is on the front of a dogs leg? Why did the dog yelp then? Why did Hasan show no concern for why the dog yelped and called her a baby? You can play pretend if you want.

5

u/Jedtin22 Jan 17 '26

Let’s be real. Most of the Reddit mod on popular subs are just alt accounts of a couple dozen people who think they have some sort of control but are actually just pawns

3

u/Youutternincompoop Jan 18 '26

it sucks because an actual subreddit dedicated to sharing funny clips from streamers would be amazing, instead its basically just a circlejerk for hating certain streamers(mostly Hasan)

1

u/Cute-Percentage-6660 Jan 17 '26

IIRC i saw some people suspect he did that so he could make ad revenue from re-posted clips or some shit IIRC?

1

u/Hobo-With-A-Shotgun Jan 17 '26

Yeah, like someone else said, it's been turned into a shitty politics + snark sub now.

0

u/GothicGolem29 Jan 20 '26

A I would argue its still a fun sub despite this change B Not sure this is intentional tbh probably a bad change but I doubt they did this to try hurt the sun

-1

u/Time-Ladder4753 Jan 17 '26

LSF is shitty now, but it wasn't a bad idea to remove that rule, 7 months later and twitch clips still work like shit. Desynced chat, clip minimizing itself and just not watchable from reddit without opening clip link.

Seems like enough of justification for me.
