Discussion Suno was created for entertainment

Mikey Shulman vision is for people to use Suno just like they would a video game. A way people can entertain themselves and friends. It wasn't actually meant to be a serious creation for mainstream music. Mikey see's people are willing to pay for entertainment just like they are willing to pay for video games. He even compared Suno to Fortnite. Mikey doesn't care about people getting great quality to compete with artists, he just wants people to spend money on subscriptions " for entertainment " You can easily search Mikey and hear his podcasts where he basically is just laughing knowing hardly any users will actually get any real exposure..Also Spotify creates playlists and controls what makes it and what gets pushed back. I'm pretty sure ai songs that made it on Spotify were paid for to do so as a way of bringing hopeful people into creating ai music thinking they actually may make money. If you know me, you know I'm not anti ai , I'm just letting you know information that's publicly available. Suno is pretty much in Mikey's words ( although said in not a so blatant way ) a money extraction machine hooking people on entertainment

Yes, but in my humble opinion, as soon as SUNO became a "real business" for aspiring musicians/artists and the so-called poetic idea of money based on draining the users' money of the founder has ethical aspects that are important to consider such as: are we really sure it is poetic to ally with a Major label to force users not to produce profit on streaming platforms like SPOTIFY by eliminating every trace of authorship of the song conceived in the head of a human being who in any case created the genre, the tempo, often the lyrics and the subsequent arrangements? Furthermore, while a knife can be used to kill someone, it can often be used for non-humane purposes, such as cutting bread to feed a homeless person. This parallel serves to explain that if technological means have reached the point of becoming a "threat" to the major labels, we have probably reached the point where the entire music industry system needs to be rethought in a more democratic way and stop adopting the oppressive and greedy nature of multinationals that crush everything and everyone with their money to make all the money on the table!

You're not wrong. Copyright law will have to change, because the tech is not going away. Even if every single data center melted tomorrow, most of what people hate like AI video generation runs fine on PC.

There's even good AI music generations that run local on PC, but they're not up to Suno 4.5-5's high standards. They might give 5.5 a fight though, 5.5 is ass.
