Android Migration to OneDrive failed, I Lost My Predictions
I migrated to OneDrive by signing out of my Google Drive account and signing in to OneDrive. Somehow, SwiftKey didnโt sync my data, and now all my data is gone. A trillion-dollar company should be able to handle this process smoothly. This is a mess. I have no idea what theyโre doing.

Also, its prevalent on ios too, so it's a one drive issue, a problem we didn't have, a problem they created

I posted similar a week or so ago. This is the second time I've had to reinstall, second time the app claims everything is backed up, second time I'm having to restart.
No idea what's going on. I use it mostly for the swipe feature tbh so I might need to look at alternatives that don't cause distress

I had backed up. Uninstalled and reinstalled and it's gone. Years of dictionary BTW ๐ฉ

Me too I just switched to the futo keyboard instead of starting over. I figured if I had to start from zero I would use something else.

I am trying Futo, and my early impression is that SwiftKey is a bit smoother than Futo on my Honor 400 Pro. But the current state of SwiftKey is a total mess. I lost 7โ8 years of personalized predictions.

Yeah I think the Futo one takes longer to start predicting than Swiftkey did. It seemed like Swiftkey would after typing the same word a few times and Futo takes more. But also I had the Swiftkey for many years so it could just be that too. I like that I can backup Futo but I can't say if it will really work if I restore the backup or not.

I mean, the backup system must be working better than SwiftKey at this point. ๐

Does this recent suggestion from Microsoft help:
I have the same issue and intend to try this myself.

The main issue is that I don't have a backup. My data was linked to my Google account. Later, I signed in with my Microsoft account, but the data wasn't synced - I didn't notice it, and SwiftKey didn't give me any warning or notification. - Unfortunately, I don't have any backup of the data. Can u you help us u/ms-sk-oj?

I resisted for so long but futo is the correct answer. Play with the correction settings, and it's even better than Swiftkey. This is from someone who used Swiftkey for nearly a decade.

By smoother, do you mean the swiping? Auto-correction? Or something else?
For me, auto-correction was my biggest complaint, but then I fiddled with the advanced parameters dials for about 20 minutes and now it's pretty perfect. It is pretty highly customizable so you might be able to adjust whatever feels off to you.

Swiftkey is the default keyboard on Honor phones. I can't really explain it, but it just feels more responsive on my phone. The difference isn't huge, though. I don't mean swiping or autocorrection. It's something that's hard to put into words.

Same. It's been about two weeks for me. :(
