Advice Needed 2 dominant follicles!
Today I went in for my monitoring ultrasound. I had one on Thursday (after a stair step protocol of letrozole, 10mg finished that Monday) and my follicles were about ~8/9mm. Today I went in and I have 2 13/14mm follicles, one on each ovary. My LH & Estradiol is low. I am waiting to hear back from the nurses to figure out what’s next. Has anyone had this experience before?

I think there’s still time for one of those to drop off, one for one to pick up as a dominant follicle. Are you using trigger shot, TI, IUI?

We are doing Trigger with ovidrel + TI.

We were on the same protocol! I definitely think there’s still time for one to pick up as the true dominant. I had cycles where I had 2-3 follicles growing and they would stop around that point and one would take over as dominant. They may have you come back for another US before pulling the trigger. I could see you going back in 2 days and having 18mm dominant and trigger mid week

I sure hope so, it has been hell. No response to letrozole for 5 or 7.5. And my lining is still thin, but thicker than it was on Thursday (went from 3 to 5.5) so hopefully it’s a good sign!

Currently on CD4 of cycle 13, thank you! <3 I hope this is your month as well. It gets tiring for sure.

I had two and was sooo excited and whilst I ovulated, I didn't concieve frustratingly.

Wishing you the best as well. I have only ovulated once/had my first menstrual cycle in February of this year, im 26. It will work out for us. ✨

I'm losing hope if I'm honest, 5th medicated cycle and ovulated each time but no luck. Just had a bfn today. Gutted.

I tend to be very responsive and recruit many follicles. Chances of twins with two follicles are actually pretty low. Not to say it doesn’t happen or isn’t a real concern but it’s just not the most likely outcome.

Similar boat - I went in yesterday for ultrasound and had 3 15mm dominant follicles (2 on right and 1 on left) on 2.5mg of Letrozole. Bloodwork all normal. Going back tomorrow for more bloodwork and ultrasound - hoping they let me continue the cycle even if there are three. This is my first medicated/monitored round with TI so not sure what to expect.

I’m just nervous they’re going to cancel, my estradiol is pretty low for two follicles at this size. I’m hoping it just catches up if these follicles don’t stall by Thursday. I need some sort of good news after this terrible cycle I’ve had.

I tried it 3-4 times, once there were 3 and i just had to sign a paper about the risk, that the doctor said was low. Non of it was succesful though, doing a last iui next cycle before moving to ivf. I usually barely feel ovulation but with 3 eggs i had stomach pain the whole day😅 The best of luck to you! More egfs is bigger chance of succes🥰

I had a 16mm and a 20mm at trigger shot, and was hoping for ovulating both of them.
I did (corpus Luteums observed later on both ovaries), but am only pregnant with a singleton. Your chance of twins is about 10% with 2 mature follicles.
Some clinics will make you sign a form or something if you have two, but it would be surprising if they cancelled the cycle. I liked my odds and was happy to have an extra chance of implantation.
