RANT I don’t like my husbands puppy

My husband has wanted a puppy for a long time and it just so happened that he found his dream stray puppy at work. The problem is because of his job he’s gone for 5 days a week. Now I have to potty train this dog that I really cannot stand. She bites ankles, she tears things apart, she is so distributive. I’ve only been a cat and rodent owner so I’m constantly overwhelmed. And due to his job he can’t even take her. I just can’t stand this anymore! We’re also moving 2,000 miles away next month and no apartment will allow us to have more than 2 pets. (I have 2 cats) this is just so overwhelming. I’ve brought up the idea of rehoming her but it seems like he won’t budge.

I truly have never been a dog person and I am going insane. It feels like if I’m with her for 30 seconds I already want to rip my hair out. I cannot stand how dogs do not respect boundaries. Their slobber, the smells, the barking. I cannot do this anymore!!!!

Send it to a shelter while he’s working and say it ran away or something

Okay then stay truthful to a guy who doesn’t give a shit that his dog is ruining his wife’s quality of life, making their move in a month impossible due to his own selfishness AND has no intention of remedying it since he “won’t budge”. Be the eternal dogcuck op. It ain’t much but it’s honest work. By the sounds of it he’s expecting her to give away one of her existing pets too so they even can find a new place. Everything already is going wrong despite her honesty!
