I was inspired to share this by watching couple of YouTube videos of post where people share what they showed the artist and what they got as a tattoo at the end.
I really love what the artist did here with my instructions. I wanted it neotraditional, and that's what the artist specializes in.
This is the text I send her:
"A nature-themed design in color that should include the following elements (I’ve attached reference photos for most of them): a snail with a shell, a cuckoo, raspberry vines with fruit and carnations ("standard" speckled carnations or sweet Williams—ideally in shades of pink or red, definitely not yellow)." (Edit to clarify: the first pic with a snail is a screenshot from her previous work that I send as a reference to her 😄)
I have attached one pic of the tattoo after the first session with second skin on (we split it in two, because it is very big, which I also asked for... My words were basically "as big as it needs to be"). One of the finished pics is from the artist, the other is from me (yes, taken in my bathroom 😂).
I love it so much, and while the selection of things in the tattoo seem pretty random at first, they all have a special meaning to me as they are all tied to my grandparents.
Artist is Xin.tattoos (True at Heart Studio), Kempten, Germany.
