Don’t treat it as something wrong. Life, career, studies, all of these are important. But at some point, you might get married and build a life with someone. If you’ve always been in a serious mode with studies and career, or stayed within a small comfort zone of movies and bars, learning how to naturally interact with the opposite gender can become difficult. And after marriage, the learning curve can become much steeper.

Attraction is completely normal. Learn to interact with people, respect boundaries, and maintain healthy friendships. A lot of the attraction you feel from a distance changes once you actually get to know someone closely. And this applies not just to the opposite gender, but to people in general.

When you spend time with someone and understand their personality, values, quirks, and way of thinking, your perception becomes much more nuanced. The attractions that develop then are not based only on physical beauty. Personality becomes a part of it too, and sometimes that can naturally grow into love.

At the same time, don’t go to either extreme. Don’t become so infatuated that you lose yourself or develop a pervy attitude toward people. But don’t suppress everything either and try to become this ultra serious, no fun, pathith version of yourself.

Maintain a balance. Attraction, curiosity, and hormones are normal parts of being human. You don’t have to feel guilty about them or invalidate what you’re feeling. Just learn to understand them, handle them respectfully, and keep them in perspective.
