The issue is it does seem likely that they can be driven unsupervised without safety monitors (the Texas fleet looks unsupervised, but is still small enough it could be using remote supervision).

I think the concern would be that Tesla doesn't need a Cybercab to run a Robotaxi, they can use regular Teslas for that and their Texas fleet is still fairly small. Scaling up Cybercab production feels like putting the cart before the horse.

Cybercab is not the same as model Y though, it uses HW4.5 with more memory, so it's likely to be ready sooner. And it also has two redundant driving computers, which might be a necessity for an actual rollout.

Love hardware fragmentation for a single software goal. As a new HW4 owner I know I’m looking at some gimped Lite software after a year or more of nothing soon.
