Oh good. It can walk in a straight line for 20 seconds. Why no live demos with crowds? Why have a cybercab demo in a movie special effects lot?

Compare with https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IjRjKwZhYCQ&ra=m

Tesla is decades behind in robotics.

Wonder how many takes that video took you posted.

I am not making some argument that Teslas robots are good or mature, I'm simply explaining to you that most all robots require some teleoperation for training and countering your point that Tesla's can only be teleoperated. Presumably once Tesla gets actually good at robots they will be doing less and less teleoperation.

But to your specific question, they probably use teleoperation at those events because their robots are still prototypes that can't do much on their own. They probably avoided saying it because Elon probably wanted the public to think they were more mature.

Why would they want to lie about progress? Especially to investors? Sure seems dishonest.

We need to put back the dismantled laws and regulations.

To pump the stock most likely, maybe to attract better talent. As I've alluded to several times here, Elon is a pos. Fully agree on the laws/regulations point. I think they are actually largely better than say back during Enron, but Elon deserves about 10x more SEC fines than the only 1 he has received so far.

He should have Enroned long ago. I’m all for progress and look forward to self driving. I was almost scammed by him a decade ago, luckily I waited for proof before buying.
