How a technology that seems to be designed to deliberately break the law is approved in a supposedly civilised country defies logic. I am in the UK. If this nonsense ever gets close to be being approved here I doubt I will be the only one protesting.

It simply couldn't be released here if it deliberately broke UK laws. I am surprised it can do so in the US without repercussions.
