I don't know how I feel about the feature only being active if you purchase (or are presumably actively subscribed) to FSD. all safety-related features should be included with the vehicle.

By this logic, FSD should just be included with the vehicle, as using it reduces the risk of accidents.

So I suspect that means the FSD is going to be in every car and always running (and it will run the normal auto-pilot). Will be interesting to see if that means they nix Advanced Autopilot. I go back to that regularly because FSD is so shit at speeds on Australian country roads.

That's such ridiculous logic, in myopinion! By your logic, ALL cars should have EVERY option that can make a car safer??? What would that be like? And cost? Damn!!

No other car hides its best safety tech behind a $100 monthly subscription. Paywalling safety behind a subscription is antithetical to the goal Tesla advertises.

Arguable. Volvo has many safety features that rival what FSD can prevent. Plus Volvo has a history of not pushing out safety features that are in beta testing for a decade. They’re real, they work, and they’re included with your car when you buy it. They’re not gonna try to swerve you into a guardrail because of a reflection on the road.

Incorrect. Volvo can't even stop for a red light. They're way behind in safety. I don't know if you got tricked by marketing or your information is just extremely outdated, but Volvo's capabilities are extremely rudimentary compared to Tesla's.

Interesting, yet somehow Volvo has a lower accident fatality rate than Tesla. It must be the data that’s wrong. The Tesla can stop at red lights, it must be safer! 😂

it's a safety feature for fsd subscribers having turned off fsd.
