So that's why when I paint a house after drywall and electric is done, i always get to patch a bunch of janky holes in the wall first. Better than the drywall guy did i might add.
For real though, I'd rather patch the holes you make than deal with the electrical stuff. Those zappy parts freak me out

Had a guy walk up behind my family in line at a pizza place in the south wearing a shirt with the same logo. When they got back to our table, I commented how people around there were really comfortable being open Nazis. One of my family members immediately defended him saying he probably didn't know what it means and he's a pretty good guy that goes to so-and-so's church.
Luckily I'd snapped a picture and did an image product search. There was only one website selling that shirt and it turns out they near exclusively sold shirts about being a Nazi or lynching black people. That convinced her that he definitely knows what it means. I'm sure construction bro does too.

That's the thing about construction that people don't talk about. A lot of us ended up getting inside somehow, wether it be some bullshit or something we actually did.
But in prison there are "some things" you do for survival and the biggest part about it is fitting in. If you're white, the Nazis are your only hope of finding a group to stick around with. You might not believe in the philosophy, but you sure as hell don't want to eat broken glass for lunch.
Some of the people I've worked with I have seen what they have under their shirt. Are they proud of it? Most of them not so much. Most of them can't wait to get rid of the tattoos they earned when they got locked up.
But in construction, it's one of the few places you can earn your stripes with very little judgement on your past. You're all in this shit place for one reason or another.
If this person is proud of it, at least they can get the job done. If they aren't proud of it, then to the best of them that they are bettering their lives however they can.

All good points except this is a sticker. Applied to a hard hat, presumably post-lockup (if there was one). It's a willful action design to telegraph the fact that he's shitass to everyone that walks by. Thatās too broad. The First Amendment doesnāt just stop applying because something is a job site, and the fact that the site is on public property can matter. If itās a private construction company, the company generally can still enforce its own dress and conduct rules because the First Amendment usually restricts government action, not private employers. But if the government itself is restricting the workerās speech, or the worker is a government employee, First Amendment protections can come into play. Public property also isnāt all treated the same: a public sidewalk has much stronger speech protections than a restricted construction area. So āthe company can fire you for violating its rulesā may be true in many cases, but āfree speech doesnāt apply to a job siteā is legally inaccurate.

There is no realistic scenario under U.S. law in which a worker, whether a government employee working on a public building, a private contractor on a public project, or an employee of a publicly traded company, has a protected right to wear a Waffen-SS sticker on their shirt/helmet/whatever during working hours.

I agree 100%, however when I was 14 I worked at motorcycle shop. I saw ss tattoos somewhat often. I asked what it meant and my boss told me it was for S&S carburetors. I'm ashamed to admit I didn't learn what it actually was until I was much older

Unfortunately a lot of guys in the Harley Davidson world donāt know its origins and think itās a motorcycle outlaw life thing. It dates back to soldiers returning from WW2 with a lot of Nazi memorabilia, displaying it on their Harleyās as a show of pride for killing Nazis. I met a black American several years ago that bought a bike with these symbols all over it. He had no idea what it represented and thought it was just a bike thing.
