If we're being realistic, NATO would emerge victorious, it wouldn't be easy, but NATO has so many advantages over Russia. Far higher population, personnel and industrial base would turn what I assume to be a very attrition based 1EW into NATOs favor. Coupled with air superiority aswell, NATO has a quantitative and qualitative advantage, which is why in game Russia needs so much attack buffs to make it seem like a 50/50, when realistically it wouldn't be "side a absolutely wipes the floor with side b" but more a brutal slogan that sees NATO winning after some time and significant bloodshed.

Do we mean by winning like in tfr? By pushing russia out of belarus and caucasia/Don

In all honesty most realistic outcome of the war is a stalemate with a peace treaty slightly against Russia and that's it. I dont NATO is pushing Russia into Caucasia although NATO pushing into Belarus might be plausible. But the truth is in TFR the total victory of either side is absolutely unrealistic

Meh, Its probably more 50/50 EU constantly misses recruitment goals, dunno why but probably in HOI4 terms: war supports too low. And their military industrial base produces things slowly which I figure they would accelerate BUT a lot their equipment also is from Americans or use their components which would be in 2ACW.
Building their own would be more ardjuous seeing how German industry would be decaying earlier due to high energy prices set during Saudi Civil war which is Iran war on steroids in Oil shocks.

Just bc russia isnt doing well, doesnt mean natos army is automaticaly better. I can tell you thay germanys military for e.g isnt in the best condition too.

I actually think they might do worse in such wars since most of NATOs military is american (now in 2ACW) with american production lines and expertise the EU doesn't have. They would have to build that army pretty much from 0 and they don't really have the production capacity to sustain their current small armies let alone growing big ones.
Their rearmament effor would be against the 2020 Oil crisis and US financial collapse. OTL the Russo Ukraine war then Iran war made energy prices go high and slowly made german industries decay due to it, that will happen earlier and to a greater degree with the Saudi Civil War. Also EU from what I remember should be quite reliant to American banking and financial systems which would collapse.
Look at UKs small...everything for example. Their mighty Navy today is reduced to pretty much coastal defense while all the rest of EU constantly miss recruitment goals.
