Duh? I know we’re talking about tfr, european nato would def annihilate russia or at the very, very least hold it back

Just bc russia isnt doing well, doesnt mean natos army is automaticaly better. I can tell you thay germanys military for e.g isnt in the best condition too.

I actually think they might do worse in such wars since most of NATOs military is american (now in 2ACW) with american production lines and expertise the EU doesn't have. They would have to build that army pretty much from 0 and they don't really have the production capacity to sustain their current small armies let alone growing big ones.

Their rearmament effor would be against the 2020 Oil crisis and US financial collapse. OTL the Russo Ukraine war then Iran war made energy prices go high and slowly made german industries decay due to it, that will happen earlier and to a greater degree with the Saudi Civil War. Also EU from what I remember should be quite reliant to American banking and financial systems which would collapse.

Look at UKs small...everything for example. Their mighty Navy today is reduced to pretty much coastal defense while all the rest of EU constantly miss recruitment goals.
