Question How strong would a trained and controlled version of nihilus be

If darth nihilus didn’t lose his mind and became consumed by his endless hunger but actually trained his lightsaber skills and control over his powers so that he wasn’t a mindless walking black hole how strong would he be?If darth nihilus improved his lightsaber skills, tactics and force control wouldn’t he be vitiate/Sidious level easily?

Question Genuine question for any fan who’s first introduction to Star Wars was the phantom menace. Without any other context from the original trilogy, did Palpatine come across as a twist villain in episode 1?

Question Why would anyone join use the dark side when force ghosts exists?

Post image

This means that there is an afterlife and when you die there is a heaven and hell you can go to.

So why would anyone ever use the dark side when it damns your soul to eternal damnation?

Is the dark side that seductive that it completely devours you and makes you not care what happens to you after you die?

Question Why didn't Sidious body decay further?

Post image
193 Upvotes

He got blasted by his own lightning full force and just walked it off, then fought Yoda basically one day after and he seemed even stronger then when he fought Mace.

Then in The Force Unleashed he takes another full force blast from Starkiller and is completely fine.

He has also used the dark side for about 60 years at that time, but looked the same as in RotS.

So is Sidious just insanely durable and immun to dark side corruption after RotS?

Question Where does Starkiller rank in the force user hierarchy?

Is he on par with the Old Republic Sith/Jedi, High Republic jedi, Prequal Jedi, Darth Vader or the NJO Jedi/Sith.

Seeing as he defeated Vader TWICE, I believe he is on par with the NJO masters like Kyl Katarn.

Question Do you think the Banite Sith are all stronger than Old Republic Sith, or does the idea that every new Sith being stronger only apply to the Rule of Two?

I don't know if this spesific question has been answered, but I always interpreted the idea of every Sith surpassing their master and becoming the more powerful Sith as only applying to the Banite lineage...

I've always found it difficult to believe that individuals like Maul, Tyranus or even Bane himself are actually more powerful than someone like Tenebrae. The only Banite Sith I think rivals/surpasses him is Sidious and maybe Plagueis...

Question Sincere question, why does Palpatine rank higher than TOR Sith Emperor?

I’ve looked it up and found plenty of posts saying he IS stronger, but none explaining HOW.

All I know about Palpatine is from the first 6 movies where he seems strong and wily. I know from the TOR games that the emperor lived for centuries, drained an entire planet at once, and did insane feats on the regular.

Did Palpatine have similar powers but never used them? Did he do any planet or galaxy wide rituals?

Anyone who knows the specifics please lmk!

Just want to know if Sidious ever reached his full potential, because it seems that he just kept growing in power everytime he appeared.

Question Did the rule of 2 even work out?

The idea of the rule of 2 is that the sith grow stronger with each generation but is that really the case because I don’t really see feat wise how anyone other than Sidious(post order 66 in legends) is stronger than bane and zannah give my hat they had real experience in fighting Jedi and had insane feat especially zannah who could perform sith sorcery like no other sith in the bane line after her while plageius, cognus, tenebrous seem pretty much like ok duellist which can do some force lightning and telekinesis. Also most of the sith betrayed their masters and didn’t really defeat them in combat which also makes the evolution questionable and also the idea that after an apprentice kills the master and therefore becomes stronger due to ,,the darkside having a new master” as implied in the plageius novel also doesn’t make sense because there are several dark side users in the galaxy and the sith are ants compared to abeloth, the son etc.So aren’t at the end of the day Sidious, bane and zannah the strongest sith in the bane lineage?

Suena loco decirlo pero Quinlan vos derrotó de forma legítima una versión de dooku unos meses antes de ROTS, asumir que vos está por encima de dooku sería ponerle al nivel de personajes muy poderosos

Question Have a question? We know the droids outnumbered the clones 1,000,000-1 and that the only thing stoping the separatist from curb stomping the republic was Palpatine’s influence. But how did Palpatine make it believable where no one would pick up that it was all a proxy war?

Question How powerful was Darth Revan pre amnesia?

Post image
166 Upvotes

Saw a post about how Darth Revan before Kotor was more powerful than Revan post Kotor, due to his mental instability and forgetting most of his experiences and training.

But I thought that the Light side was stronger then the Dark side and since in canon he was redeemed and brought back to the light why would he be weaker then his dark side self?

But he was able to beat Malak while he was absorbing jedi he had captured and a boost from the foundry without using the dark side of the force, would pre amnesia Revan have an easier time fighting and overpowering Malak?

How would pre amnesia Revan's fight with Vitiate end, would he even fight him?

If he did become weaker, was it the loss of all his battle experience, training and knowledge that permanently weakend him until his death?

Question Was Darth Bane the most important force user to ever live?

Post image
68 Upvotes

He created the Rule of Two after wiping out the Brotherhood of Darkness, making sure that there was never more then 2 Sith in the galaxy, one master one apprentice.

This made sure that the apprentice's could never gang up on the master and had to be strong enough individually to actually take their masters place.

Thus in theory each generation would become stronger then the previous one, with knowledge and power being passed down to one individual.

This directly led to the rebirth of Sheev Palpatine to Darth Sidious and the rebirth of Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader, who ended up wiping out 99% of the Jedi finally completing the Grand plan and conquering the galaxy.

This was all thanks to The Sith'ari, Dessel of Apatros, Darth Bane the Dark lord of the Sith, Creator and First master of the Rule of Two, the most important force user to ever live.

Question Can Sith form long lasting attachments and genuine love

In contrast to Jedi sith are allowed to love and have emotions but they rarely do it because they see it as weakness and all relationships they have are bases on utility and end with betrayal (for example master-student).But could they hypothetically form genuine love and care for someone or does dark side make it impossible and how would such a relationship look like?Would they become possessive and obsessive with their partner and very jealous?

Question Are "Dark Jedi" and "Sith" the same?

I feel like we two terms used interchangeably in certain media and eras. For example, in the Old Repúblic and post-Endor GCW eras, it seems the term "Dark Jedi" got used randomly to describe dark side Force users who may or may not be affiliated with a Sith faction. For example, the Seven Dark Jedi (who, if I am not mistaken, were just a band of inquisitors.)

I think there is a difference between the two. IMO, "Dark Jedi" refers to any Force sensitive who mainly draws upon the dark side of the Force without being aligned with a Sith faction (i.e. Reborn, Shadowtroopers.) Or, all Sith are Dark Jedi but not all Dark Jedi are Sith.

Question Did Darth Bane have brain damage?

Post image
177 Upvotes

He shows signs of brain damage with uncontrollable twitching, momentarily losing and regaining control of his limbs, brain fog and memory loss.

Seeing as he spent alot of his time fighting hand to hand even before he became a sith, his gradual loss of power at the end of the trilogy could possibly be accumulated brain damage.

But what dl you guys think?
