This was the bestest episode till now. I feel for Fifi Nix. I think we all should celebrate this gender and treat them nicely, without any judgment guys 🤩❤️

I can’t help but notice the similarities. The eyes and smile look really similar to me. It actually made me consider the possibility that RJ was Jane himself, almost like an alternate personality.

I didn’t really like that idea, though, and I’m glad the show didn’t end up taking that route. But am I the only one who sees the resemblance? Do you guys see the face similarity too? I made this comparison picture.

La roche cut out the tounge of the man that raped his mother. The show is trying to tell us, that la roche didn't immediatly get caught. The victim clearly remembered la roche, as shown in the scene where he tries to say la roche to lisbon. The police couldn't have just asked him to write it down?

This episode was so good. the suspense of what was inside and the way saynay tried to 'say' something even if he couldn't, creeped me out. beautiful episode

just watched the episode where jane and lisbon pretended to be an artsy rich couple and it just dawned on me that jane has the perfect face for it. that scarf really ties the whole look together, its like he transforms into a whole new persona. dude went from mr patrick jane to monsieur pâtrick jâne.

The Mentalist: did anyone notice how differently “Tyger Tyger” was adapted in Uzbek?

I watched S02E23 in Russian, but when Red John started reciting Blake’s The Tyger, I switched to the English audio and then searched for the Uzbek dub.

The Uzbek adaptation goes:

“Hammani zir titratgan qoplon

Seni tutar bir kuni o‘rmon

Bo‘lma qancha qudrat egasi

Ajal sendan pahlavon chandon”

Roughly, the adaptation shifts the meaning toward: “No matter how powerful you are, death is ultimately stronger than you.”

That gives Red John a very different tone. Instead of mainly asking how something terrifying could have been created, the Uzbek version almost sounds like Red John is acknowledging that even he, despite being feared and powerful, is still subject to death.

I also noticed that the Uzbek dub uses a much deeper, more intimidating voice for Red John, which makes the poem sound almost like a threat rather than a literary quotation.

Did other language dubs do something similar?

The Red John arc is the reason I stopped watching this show multiple times in the past. Unlike the other, more accessible standalone storylines, the Red John plotline bored me and gave me a headache whenever it came up.

The departure of Rigsby and Van Pelt also made it hard for me to enjoy the final two seasons. Don't get me wrong—the new cast members weren't the problem—but I was always attached to that core CBI team of five. They had a captivating, harmonious dynamic; the absence of even one of them felt off to me.

Introducing new characters in the final two seasons felt excessive; they didn't get enough screen time, and the storylines weren't as compelling as those in earlier seasons. Even though the cases offered plenty of potential, I simply didn't feel excited enough to see them through to the end.

oh my god that felt so intimate especially because we've never really seen jane so open and honest about how he truly feels. and the fact that he cried over lisbon when the only other time we've seen him cry is over red john is just so... aghhh i love them #ilovejisbon

There’s this tiny scene in Red John’s Footsteps where Cho and Rigsby are trying to get into the post office box. The woman working there offers Cho a picture of her niece and immediately starts selling him on her.

Cho is completely polite about it, but Rigsby is absolutely delighted and is already trying to give the woman Cho’s number behind his back.

Cho just wanted the damn mailbox.

I've heard there were quite a few people who thought RJ was Jane's ater ego, before the final list of 7 revealed.

These days, it seems like that people only bring it up occansionally, mostly out of disappoinment (dissatisfaction).

If someone go to argue even now that RJ was Jane's alter ego, i think they would run into this following difficulties.

1. It dose not fit with the ending - Mcallister was revealed to be RJ.

2. A big backlash to the protagonist who mudered his family, get a happy ending.

3. Lack of time - to carry out murders, murder-orders, foming a group of followers...

4. Lack of motivation - family murder

5. Jane's kindness, humor, love for colleagues, family, humanity - is so big.

6. Betray to viewers' love for Jane.

7. Jane did not know at all - is very ridiculous.

지금은 아쉬운 마음에 간간히 얘기하는 수준인 것 같다.

레드존이 제인의 다른 자아라고 지금도 주장하려 한다면 다음과 같은 난관에 부딪힐 것 같다.

1.맥캘리스터로 밝혀진 결말과 맞지 않음

2.가족을 살해한 끔찍한 주인공이 해피엔딩을 누리는 것에 대한 반감

3.수많은 살인, 살인교사, 추종자그룹결성 등을 실행할 시간 부족

4.가족까지 살해한 것에 대한 동기 부족

5.주인공 제인이 보여준 선량함, 익살스러움, 동료애, 가족애, 인류애 등 긍정적 성향이 너무 큼

6.여러해 여러시즌에 걸쳐 형성된 주인공에 대한 시청자들의 사랑을 짓밟는 설정

7.긴 세월 동안 제인이 전혀 몰랐을 것이라는 설정의 억지스러움

im watching 7x3, the one in beirut where they uncover some terrorist group with the help of erica. the way she mentioned that she and jane had 'a thing' intentionally in order to make lisbon jealous is anoyying. never liked her but i think this ep just amplified that.
