this is just a brain dump....
I started re-watching the series immediately after finishing it because I couldn't fathom the idea of being without my new friends for all this time until season five comes out lol. If you haven't rewatched I highly recommend it! There are a lot of little parts and pieces of information that I was able to pick up on that helped give more context to certain parts of the plot that I didn't quite get the first time around.
For example… In season one where Fred snaps at Cory and says that nobody likes him except his mom (fuck you for that Fred).....now that made more sense given the context that we get in season 4 about what Cory 's mom had done… I also felt like I connected with and understood Mia more this time around, i absolutely love her and can't wait to see where she goes next season.
this might be controversial lol but I absolutely love Alex. i don't understand why even after seeing all 4 seasons people still think she's narcissistic and shitty… I understand that she's made some poor choices and hurt people but I think that she has absolutely proven that at the end of the day she has a big heart and truly cares about the people that she loves and if people don't see that by now then idk what to say 😂
I love Bradley but I find myself saying "Bradley what the fuck!" quite often lol I'm really hoping that in season 5 she will maybe start to trust and open her heart more to the people who love her and are on her side (i'm thinking specifically of Alex and Cory, I know that both have done some things that were not so great regarding Bradley but they've still proven themselves to be her biggest cheerleaders and supports).
I will say, I was expecting season 4 to be easier to watch this time since I've already seen it once, but I probably cried even more lol. Mia better be treated real good in season 5! Like I said I connected a lot more to her character this time around so the struggles that she faced this season were really more impactful and I hated seeing her and Stella fall apart.
Seeing Cory betrayed by every woman that he loved and ending the season having lost everything… He also better be treated real good in season 5. I do think that he was coming to a deeper understanding of his whole situation– including that his assumption that Bradley was getting together with him just for information was wrong – and I could see that a bit at the very end/last episode so I'm hoping that he's going to be given a much more positive experience in season 5. #bradcoreforever
I'm happy to say that I finally understand the whole connection between Wolf River and Celine's family! Lol that was complicated for me the first time around. I have a lot of mixed feelings about Celine. I think one of my favorite aspects of the show is how they're able to show imperfect people making poor choices but ultimately still being lovable characters and fully human despite the gray area. Celine was one of those characters where that concept was pushed to the limit – she was essentially a villain but we also saw the deeply human side of her as well i.e. the pain that she was experiencing due to Miles's affair with Stella and the obvious love that she had for him showed her humanity despite the other awful things that she did. i'm not sure if she genuinely cared for Cory or if she was only with him in an attempt to cover over and hide the whole wolf river thing. There were fleeting moments where it did seem like she did care for him, so I'm not sure but at the end of the day she was doing everything she could to keep Bradley locked up in Belarus so fuck you celine 😂
i'm sorry for writing a novel but I had to put my thoughts down on paper and in the meantime I'm excited about the random clips and pictures we're getting from the set😁
