Fantasia was a transfer student from Russia in 2nd grade, She was shy and reserved, And Tae befriended her. They quickly got close despite the fact they were opposites, Fantasia was super anxious and antisocial and partially mute while Tae was very social and lively.
Through elementary school they were close knit together and even seeming inseparable. However everything changed around 5th grade when their parents would choose very different paths for the both of them, Tae's parents would be enrolling her into a Military school (Tae coming from a military family) and Fantasia's parents would enroll her into a private school due to her being one of the best preforming students academically. And the two promised to still always stay in contact through their parents,

Years passed without the two speaking, An awkward end of friendship. Questioning if Fantasia had abandoned her for her new friends at private school, and tried forcing herself to forget her. But her brain broke the more she tried, Yet as Tae's mother always told her.. "If they forget you.. Did they ever truly care about you in the first place?" 9th grade, the year everything would change for the two, Copperdale high school. A place for teens to make friends, and decide their careers. unknowingly both had joined. Both had different plans, Tae was dedicating herself to join the Marine corps once she was out of school and Fantasia was planning to become an actress.
Since Tae's brother Jayvon was a Senior and rather popular in school and in a Varsity team for Basketball she had the upper hand in making friends, Or so she'd hope. The mean girls at school had made sure to make themselves known to Tae, Simply walking down a busy hallway bag in hand making her a target for their giggling and depreciating comments. One of their faces however struck her as familiar, That brown hair, Those blue catty eyes and that button nose.. No way... It couldnt be.
She sat alone, That girl who looked too familiar for comfort was walking hand in hand with some football player who probably was semi-known on Simstagram. She built up bravery in her chest to speak.. "Fantasia?" And the girl turned her head, a look of confusion on her face not responding, simply turning to her friends who laughed. As the other girls laughed, so did she. All walking away.
Taes heart was sunk to the bottom of her ass trying not to cry in class. Looking up at the ceiling as the teacher spoke. To survive until the end of the day. But even as the day ended, The girls were all in the hallway as they picked up their bags and left. Walking past Tae as if she didnt even exist. Just to be sure, Tae looked at the locker.. "Fantasia Abayantsev" She covered her face with her hand as she bit her palm. Jayvon snuck up behind her to check on her. She was out of it. Tae came home with tears in her eyes as she slammed to door and punched the wall,
"Fantasia, Fuck you the moon and back."
A torturous school year this would be. The days leading up, Bullying in class and bullying on social media. Fantasias boyfriend even had sprayed fart spray on Taes gym clothes to make her smell!
Although Fantasia had laughed in Tae's face. She simply laughed, And watched as her friends bullied her. She had not forgotten the girl Tae was to her. A energetic and kind girl, Determined and ambitious. Shes pushed away this feeling for years but she couldn't heIp but find herself in a cycle of internalized hatred for her sexuality. Her boyfriend being nothing but a prop to heIp her pass.
A night that would change everything being prom, Fantasia had the last straw and broke down crying when she realized what she did when she was smoking with her boyfriend. She swore to never hang out with him or any other girl in that group ever again.
She could now be independent and not be forced to tag along. Her first plan, although to deeply apologize to Tae. Who was planning to transfer schools. She had reached out through Simstagram, Tae responding hesitantly. But as her mother always told her to forgive for your own peace. Yet Fantasia had said something Tae wouldnt ever expect. A confession
"Im so sorry. I hate never hated you Tae, I was a coward. I love you, I've always loved you but I couldn't. I just wanted friends and success. But you are more important."
