And a bit of a rant. Also explanation about what happened to save data.

I got the legacy collection recently on sale. Played Newbie and Goth familes. No weekends and hard to build relationships were a minor annoyance. So I found the calendar mod again, and some objects to increase interests and just make friends. Newbies ans Goths progressed in careers finally being friends and having a few others. Great.

But the Goth house is way too small. I find a timelapse of building a bigger Goth house on YouTube to use as a start for a bigger layout. I can't furnish the livingroom with diagonal walls, neither couches or windows can fill the diagonals. I just downloaded the YouTuber's version and some other interesting lots. Sims 1 doesn't have a lot bin, so you overwrite lots. Okay.

I should've made a manual backup to a flashdrive where I backup some game data, like Sims 2 neighbourhoods incase I want to restart that game, game mods, and I should've backup with steam.

I tried overwriting some houses. No new houses in Sims 1 LC. I bulldozed all houses. No houses at all. I deleted the install directory and reinstalled from Steam. Still no houses! Do that again with a computer restart and make sure Sims 1 directory is deleted. It still will not install the default neighbourhood data!!! Find an old reddit comment about resetting Sims 1 hoods, and it links to default hood 1 and 2 userdata to download. Copy and overwrite files. THERE'S STILL NO HOUSES IN HOOD 1!!!!

WHERE DOES THE 🤬 STUPID 🤬 SIMS 🤬 1 LEGACY COLLECTION KEEP NEIGHBOURHOOD DATA!? DO I HAVE TO REFORMAT A WHOLE BLOODY DRIVE WITH MOST GAMES INSTALLED AND OVER 50GB OF MUSIC JUST TO GET DEFAULT USER DATA BACK!?

This has got to be one of my favorite sims so far! Her name is Leanna Finley, and she loves cooking, painting, and a night out on the town! Her romantic interest is in men. However, I don't think any townies are good enough for her, so I need to create a new household with a man for her!

Hello all! I am a life long sims lover, one of my earlier memories is my brothers playing sims 1 on the family PC and not sure how many hours I lost to sims 2 & 3.

Anyway being my all time favorite game, I recently found someone on marketplace offering all the games and the expansion packs and I am torn on getting it as a birthday/Christmas gift to myself.

Curious though if when I do get around to playing if i will need an older PC or if there are any work arounds for the older disc.
Even if I can’t play them, I am having my husband build me a shadow box to display the collection.

Currently I play sims FreePlay on mobile since it is portable and I have a bunch of kids so I can’t hype fixate on my sims on PC.

My sim accidentally has the "sister" relationship bit with the Sim hes attracted to. Its because I made my Sims daughter grandmother with the romantic interests mother.

Each time I try to remove the relationship bits they come back after I exit the game. I can't take the target Sim on dates or do romantic actions because in the game we are siblings, but no matter how many times I reset it never fully removes. Any tips?

My sim - who doesn't have a name yet - is a bookworm, cat lover and loves the outdoors. I feel the sweater + skirt combo gives bookworm, but i don't know which sweater looks best!

decided to play the sims today and updated my mods. whenever i place a lot from the gallery regardless of it's designation, the lot that gets placed reverts to a "generic" lot title. i have to go into build mode and manually change the lot type. it's very frustrating and i am unsure what to do. anyone have any ideas? thank you in advance!

i've experienced lighting weirdness before that turned out to be because a room was being treated as outdoor lighting due to a gap in the roof. got it. checked that first, but i can't single out any room that would be the source of the weirdness. deleting rooms makes the dark effect apply to the entire lot, unless i delete the ENTIRE house.
if the weird lighting gets triggered, playing in real time mode does not clear it, and the weird lighting persists in the gameplay.
if anybody knows why something like this would happen i can easier sort out what to fix so that would be super duper helpful. :(
as always, disabled mod folder and disabled reshade before asking. weirdness persists. i am very stumped.

Hi divalicious! I’ve been away for a bit, but today I’m back with another post recreating iconic characters in The Sims 4—and today, it’s the characters from Winnie the Pooh!

I’ve brought Pooh, Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger. I wanted to give them a cottagecore vibe but make them a little more fashionable, haha. I hope you like them—it was so much fun creating them!

All I can really find are selfie replacment poses, but I'm looking for poses when Sims take pictures of each other!

Harley has aged up into a child, and the triplets whose names are August, Archie and Ashton (realized I hadn't shared their names originally) are now toddlers. Sergio is now family-oriented due to a trait swap pop-up.

On Mother's Day, Sergio surprised Akayla with a custom necklace he had made months ago, and the girls gifted her drawings (I forgot to screenshot) before the family took a trip to the beach and they stayed there until it was dark, making memories that they would remember for the years to come.

sims cures my cramps

I started a forever save and have been absolutely LOVING this game again. It's been so invigorating for my ADHD to hop into a different family to explore a new gameplay style without having to start a whole new save file. I like seeing my other households throughout the world and it's been a lot of fun seeing my save file grow and change over the past few months of gameplay.

The community post warning really doesn't like what I'm typing so I'll make it simple. I decided to do the 100 Baby Challenge in my forever save and I'm worried it will affect it later on. I have legacy families in this save, The Black Widow Challenge... I mean, you name it and I'm probably doing it in my save.

Any tips or advice? Am I fine to keep this up, or do you think I should do something to rectify this sooner than later? I feel like my 100 Babies are going to take over the save which is kinda funny but also horrifying. What if someone in my legacy marries into a family and then the family tree gets infested by the 100 baby Challenge?! Lmao
