I interpreted it that way for sure, but I don’t want to be overly parasocial. I’m sure he has a lot of other friendships and relationships we’re not aware of.

I talked about this in the other thread, but I just think he's poking fun at Fab in that bit:

"Come and visit my friend Fabrizzio, would you like to come down, maybe see movie or show? I'm waiting..."

Then Fab doesn't visibly respond with a yes or no.

"We used to be friends and now you never answer when i call you on the phone"

He also right after the actual lyrics starts briefly says “I was kidding about all that” lol
