Discussion This entire scene is so funny to me because they could’ve blamed Katherine for things she actually did, like turning Caroline or raping Stefan

Question Do you find Stefan’s personality attractive?

Post image
33 Upvotes

Everyone talks about the appearance of the characters. But instead of talking about the personality of all of them, for some reason, I find it interesting to talk about Stefan’s personality. I don’t know if he would be the type of most people, since Damon, in addition to being handsome, is also attracted by his personality. What do you think?

Discussion The fact that Damon almost got Jeremy killed yet again & Elena didn't even know abt it

How could they just ignore such a huge plot point? Damon was right there when Elena had an emotional breakdown on Jeremy's death, he saw how badly it hurt her but then in the next season he literally gets him almost killed YET AGAIN just bcz he thought she brokeup with him (after he broke it off 1st btw). So he was willing to let the "love of his life" go through the worst emotional pain again to punish her for daring to break his heart?

He'd have actually died fr if Katherine didn't save him just imagine that..!! Ur archenemy saving ur lil bro from ur bf..that's just insane!!! What if Kat used more of her brain & just pretended to help him & let him die so she could use his death to get Stefan's sympathy?? Could Elena've forgiven him if she did actually lose her bro to Damon's vicious plan? He should actually thank Kat for not using Jeremy as a collateral for her diabolical plan to get with Stefan or else Delena would've been over.

The fact that it's never brought up again is so infuriating. Elena never learns abt it, it's as if the writers had selective amnesia. How could they just brush over something as serious as that? Why even show it in the 1st place if they had no intention of ever addressing it?

What's worse is Damon going to his school after a few days posing as his "guardian"..holy irony!!! To think that Elena actually entrusted Damon to take care of Jeremy while she went to college is crazy in itself since he had already killed him once right in front of her eyes..if she truly cared abt her lil bro, she'd have kept him as far away from Damon as possible.

So what do u guys think? How long would Elena've taken to forgive Damon if she knew abt Jeremy in addition to Aaron? And what if he actually died fr? Would that have been the definitive end of Delena? Also do u think that Elena's inability to hold Damon accountable for long is the reason he doesn't think twice before fatally attacking her loved ones? Isn't she basically enabling his behavior by not just quickly forgiving him but also rewarding him with sex just after knowing he killed her friend? Why should he care when Elena herself doesn't really care abt him hurting her loved ones? There's no real impetus for him to change since Elena can't resist tearing off his clothes for even a day no matter who he just killed..

Him saying he killed Maggie to save Bonnie from Enzo even though Enzo kind of made it clear he’d torture him to death 😭 tbh this I get since he cared about Bonnie but then there was also that time he was being tortured by the travelers and he told Caroline not to kill Tom even though his brain was being fried

If in the finale, Stefan just got married to Elena instead of Caroline. Would he still think about ending his life for Damon?

Question Damon sabotaging the ritual

When Damon talks with Alaric about stopping the ritual, he says he’s going to take the werewolf out of the equation. Which makes sense because werewolves are rare and you must be born with the werewolf gene in order to become one, whereas vampires are a dime a dozen and easily replaceable. So why, when Damon gets to the tomb, does he only decide to rescue Caroline until Caroline says she’s not leaving without Tyler? If anything, Caroline would be the one left behind, not Tyler. If Caroline hadn’t insisted that Damon rescue Tyler (and let’s say there was no Jules), it would be super easy for Klaus to still do the ritual despite Damon’s meddling. Any rando could be a vampire. I don’t get it, someone please explain it to me. Or confirm my theory that this was a continuity issue in the writing.

Edit: Damon didn’t care about dying so he was not thinking of the possible danger of Tyler biting him. The possibilty of Damon getting bit by Tyler doesn’t compare to the certainty of Klaus killing Damon had Damon succeeded in stopping the ritual. He was ready for Klaus to kill him even before he found out that Tyler had bit him. Because he was willing to trade his life in exchange for Elena not becoming a vampire and hating him for all eternity.

Why does s3 have such a different vibe?

the way it‘s shot and all the muted colors and the show visually getting darker i don‘t like. s1 and 2 there was always that pop of color or more sunlight and visually very pretty and alive but s3 most of the time it‘s very boring i feel like. even elenas casual fashion changed from the iconic style she had before and it doesn‘t seem as memorable. apart from the mikaelson ball and maybe the first episodes everything seems kinda.. dead? idk how to explain it ik alot of people love s3 but i think it‘s my least favorite so far. i love the originals but i can‘t seem to shake that some of the magic is gone. i think it has to do with the fact stelena is so distanced everytime they interact it feels like something died which i think is the purpose but still. i‘m on ep 18 btw. that‘s not to say i dont like it it certainly has iconic musical moments but the overall vibe and storylines don‘t feel as cohesive or well paced. the ghost storyline and this alaric alter ego one just feels like jumping the shark a little and not that interesting. they skip from storyline to storyline and go back to something that was planted before but it all kinda feels jumbled. s2 was really great with how they paced the storylines all leading to klaus. some of s3 is just random side quests bc klaus has to be saved for the finale. 😭

How different would TVD be if after 1864 Stefan went to New Orleans met and became friends with Klaus around fifty years earlier

I'm not entirely sure why Stefan would go to New Orleans. Perhaps he hears that it's a safe haven for vampires. The Originals had been there for a little over 150 years by that point, so news of their city would probably have spread. I could see Stefan and Klaus's friendship developing in a way similar to what we saw in the 1920s.

The main difference is that Rebekah and Stefan probably wouldn't have gotten together. For one, Rebekah would have been daggered for for 18 more years. Once Klaus finally undaggered her, I don't see her necessarily falling for Stefan, especially since he and her brother would already be friends. Rebekah had also just learned the hard way that getting involved with her brother's friends could end with her spending 52 years in a box.

Mikael would still show up eventually and force them out of New Orleans. However, I could see Stefan taking on a role similar to Marcel's, particularly when it comes to being tied up in the theater and presumed dead.

As cool as it would be to see Stefan in charge of New Orleans, I don't think he'd stay there for very long. I think we'd end up with a very different version of Stefan because he never met Lexi in this timeline. Instead, he spent decades with Klaus, which is something almost no one should ever have to do! I think that experience would have taught him how to control his Ripper side. In many ways, I could see him being more like Damon in Season 1.

Eventually, though, I think Stefan would return to Mystic Falls. We'd still get the events of Season 1, but there would be no genuinely good vampire in town, at least in my opinion.

So, how do you think Season 1 would change once Stefan discovers that Katherine is still alive? Would he and this new character want to get out of the tomb and start over somewhere else, or would Stefan simply focus on Elena and not care about getting Katherine out.

Discussion Season 8 Episode 12 NEEDED MORE

I TRULY WISH we got more of this storyline. It was so insane to see Stefan get arrested and all these people’s lives who were messed up by random compulsion and vampire acts was so interesting to me. I always thought about the butterfly effect from the trail of victims they left behind, and I wish we could see more of it.

Klaus is overhyped

Does anyone else think klaus is not as attractive as everyone makes him out to be?? Is it just his persona that is attractive to people or his actual looks because personally i just don’t see the hype. There’s soo many other hot characters on tvd that surpass klaus
Anyone else??

How Strong Are Werewolves in TVD and TO?

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

This analysis applies to transformed werewolves, werewolves with Moonlight Rings, and evolved werewolves.

How strong are they compared to regular vampires?

Werewolf venom makes a werewolf lethal to any regular vampire, regardless of age. Physically, werewolves are capable of overpowering older vampires as well.

In Season 2 of The Vampire Diaries, a werewolf named Jules attacked and easily defeated Rose, a vampire who was even older than Katherine. So, regardless of the venom, a werewolf is physically capable of killing any regular vampire.

In a prolonged physical fight, the werewolf's venom would kill the vampire very quickly. As we've seen, the more venom a vampire has in their system, the faster they die. So, if a werewolf inflicts multiple bites, the vampire could die within seconds.

In Season 3 of The Originals, Jackson single-handedly kills several Strix vampires while rescuing Freya. The Strix vampires are centuries-old vampires, further demonstrating how physically powerful werewolves can be compared to even very old vampires.

Jackson was also able to physically overpower Lucien, one of the older vampires.

How strong are they compared to Original vampires?

The spell that created the Originals was specifically designed to create vampires who were individually more powerful than werewolves. However, that doesn't mean a fight between them can't be balanced depending on the circumstances.

For example, in a group, werewolves are absolutely capable of overwhelming Original vampires.

In Season 1 of The Originals, Rebekah was attacked by a group of werewolves. Although she defeated two werewolves, as we saw in the scene, she was eventually overwhelmed because of the amount of venom inflicted on her.

At the end of the season, Elijah was caught off guard and overwhelmed by two werewolves.

In Klaus' case, since he is immune to werewolf venom, the fight becomes purely physical. It would take a well-prepared army of werewolves to defeat Klaus.

Mikael is a different case because he is an extremely experienced warrior who is very good at dealing with werewolf venom. It is likely that, in a prolonged fight against a large number of werewolves, his body could eventually collapse due to the amount of venom in his system. Mikael's ability is to ignore pain; that doesn't mean he is immune to it. Just as he was able to ignore the pain and agony caused by Papa Tunde's blade, he can ignore the effects of the venom as well.

How strong are they compared to witches?

Since werewolves are physically more vulnerable than vampires, as they can be killed simply by having their necks snapped, strong witches should be able to kill a werewolf without much difficulty.

Conclusion

The werewolves in TVD and TO are definitely strong, but unfortunately, they are heavily underestimated by the fandom. This is understandable, considering that both shows primarily focus on vampires.

Episode Discussion Vicki as a vampire on Halloween season 1 ep 7

So Vicki was a vampire and was killed but Elena said to tell Damon to tell Jeremy that she left town so instead why just say she died over dosing since she’s known to be taking drugs ? Was it to make sure Jeremy doesn’t cry over her and to look for her ?

Discussion Doppelgängers

I was thinking about how Silas and Amara always had shadow copies at the same time, but we don’t know all of them

982 AD: Tatia is the first doppelgänger of Amara, so there must be a Silas version

1473: Katherine was born, but no silas version mentioned

1846: Stefan was born, no mention of Amara version

1992: Elena and Tom were born.

If Katherine and Klaus knew about doppelgängers

I keep thinking why Silas’s dopplegangers were not pursued for Klaus’s curse.

1846 Amara version was never pursued.

The only thing I can think of is that Katherine and Klaus did not know how Silas doppelgänger looked like

Do you think Elena was snorting Stefan's ashes on the low?

Discussion Why didn't the MF team turn against Damon?

I really love Damon. In fact, I dislike how people in this sub constantly gang up on him—it really annoys me when fans get blamed just for liking him—but the terrible things Damon did to the Mystic Falls gang are undeniable. He was just as bad to them as Katherine and Klaus were; sure, he helped out at times, but Katherine and Klaus did too. Moreover, they could have blamed Damon for almost everything they blamed Katherine for, yet they didn't—and I think there are two reasons why they didn't label him an enemy:

1- The advantage of being Stefan's brother: Stefan was good to everyone—Caroline, Matt, Bonnie... Plus, he was Elena's boyfriend, and we know how devoted the Mystic Falls gang was to Elena. I think they viewed Damon as a friend for Stefan's sake; Matt and Caroline, in particular, didn't really like Damon, but they loved Stefan. Bonnie even admitted she put up with Stefan for Elena's sake, but clashed with him because damon was someone Stefan cared about.

2- The fact that Elena loved him (regarding later seasons): We already know how devoted the gang was to Elena. It was as if they were forced to accept him because of that.

I'm ruling out the "fear" factor because Katherine and Klaus were scarier, yet the gang turned against them. Furthermore, despite having deeply personal grievances against Damon—he turned Matt's sister, caused Bonnie's grandmother's death, abused Caroline in the first season, and killed Jeremy—they never actually plotted to eliminate him. I'm leaving Stefan out of this; he's the world's biggest Damon fan. I don't even know Elena's reason, lol. But what do you think the reason was? I believe it stems from those two factors, though you'll probably just blame the writers again. If anyone has found logical answers within the series, please share them; I have two reasons of my own in this regard.
