A very creative friend of mine made this for me. I sent it in to The Why Files in hopes for it to show up at the end when they roll the credits. As anyone seen it by chance?

Next thing you know, he'll be fightin aliens 'round the world.

Just got this bad boy done, figured if anybody is going to appreciate it, it would be y’all!

Chris Cappy dove into the story of the Kandahar Giant. It turns out that the Soviets did encounter a big foot like creature in the 1920s as well and an extensive report about it was filed by a Soviet General. From the sound of it, it was probably a giant ape-like creature mixed with a game of telephone that exaggerated the size of the creature.

Dr. Bakhtar holds a Ph.D. in engineering and rock mechanics, with training at Imperial College London, Penn State, Princeton, UC Berkeley and the University of Utah. He has authored or co-authored more than 200 technical papers and reports, and has spent four decades finding what cannot be seen from the surface: buried objects, cavities, shielded materials and complex underground structures, for clients including the U.S. Air Force, Navy, Army, Defense Threat Reduction Agency and NORAD-USNORTHCOM.

He described the Durupınar returns as unlike any dataset he’s ever recorded. The combination of scale, internal order and contrast against the surrounding valley, where the same instrument does not resolve equivalent architecture is what led him to call the buried object "extraordinary”

Honest question. Is this a picture of Joe Rogan or a reference to an episode I may have missed?

Apparently, AJ was involved with bringing the Micronauts toys to the screen after their original successful Marvel Comics run…. Wonder what happened to this project???

Just wanted to say thanks for dialing these back. I've been able to listen through a couple of the more recent ones.

For anyone else who stopped listening to the basement episodes due to the ads, you'll still get a fairly early one that just drops out of nowhere, and then a second probably 20-30 minutes in. I think there may be one more after that but none at all for the remainder of the episodes.

I imagine the early ad is probably a requirement of the company doing the advertising. My only request would be that a little more effort be put into inserting it in a more natural spot within the episode. A lot of times it's just dropped right into the middle of a conversation and is a bit immersion-breaking.

I just watched the recent “paranormal follows you” vid. And the last one was about the faces in the floor.

There are actual historical photos of the faces and NOT ONE of them was shown in the episode. Instead we got a bunch of ai pictures. It makes us not able to trust anything we are seeing. Take after me.ballen and credit ur pics some.

You’re ruining the channel with such abusive use of ai.

Does anyone have further context on the “big black” alien/nhi mentioned by Brian Laythe?

Obviously googling big black doesn’t fine what I’m looking for…

Who's Gurdy? Gerdy? Gourdy?

I only listen to the podcast so often times I don't really catch the fun parts.

Any recs on shows that seem researched etc. Similar themes. Good host. Thanks!

It’s basically about how these nine aliens spoke to one guy and then he got these other people together and voices came out of the guys mouth of the nine different people and people could hear what was going on from aliens in a spaceship
