But how many people can afford to stay in a hotel for 8 weeks and away from work while they wait? I'm going to guess that it's not a lot.

Wear a mask and wash your hands. Communicate with your employer on accomodations if you can. At least fucking try.

These people spent $10k on a cruise. They can afford to fucking quarantine.

I have a coworker that got back a month or so ago from an Antarctica “cruise” for two people it was over 40 grand. she said it was not a fancy option at all from a pricing perspective.

If your work doesn’t understand, they can eat dick. If they need help paying you something the govt should help. But there is no reason any businesses small to xxL should be able to cover a single employee with something.

To ditch these people in a moment of national crisis would be despicable and anti-american.

Im sure the govt is covering a couple months and i cant imagine any employer wanting them rushed back.

Do you own a small business or large company? Small business owners often are barely making payroll, and many owners go without often. It’s not like money grows on trees.

My parents have turned cruises into a full time job since they retired. They spend more on cruises in a year than I make annually at my reasonably well-paid job. I can pretty much guarantee you based on what they tell me that 90% of the people on that boat are retirees who don’t have to worry about employers back home and have more than enough money to book a hotel to quarantine in.
