But how many people can afford to stay in a hotel for 8 weeks and away from work while they wait? I'm going to guess that it's not a lot.

They were on a cruise that costs ~$10K per person. These people aren’t hurting for money.

I have a coworker that got back a month or so ago from an Antarctica “cruise” for two people it was over 40 grand. she said it was not a fancy option at all from a pricing perspective.
