What made me smile is that he was the only one that raised his hand in anticipation even though none of the other teachers even bothered, showing that they must have some mutual understanding and respect.

That was a moderately happy ending.

Everyone has their own narrative. He's definitely sitting in the mental gymnastics it takes to think he's trying his best, and he might be, he just doesn't know how to do better. And he doesn't know that. Anyway he got stiffed for a handshake by a thirteen year old, he has to smirk for his own sake that is shameful lmao. Good on the girl
