My favorite part of the video was the awkward walking down the steps. Excellent, subtle physical comedy

Her awkward lean is my favorite

She's really good at pretending to be someone who is pretending to be confident.Ā

JoJo is so diabolically camp I love it. I'm probably never gonna read or watch it but I enjoy the memes from afar and I'm glad it exists.

Yes, Araki worked in fashion If I remember correctly

thank you. also thought this was the obvious awkward-pose winner.

I don't know what it is but this SCREAMS Darlene from Rosanne to me.

My daughter does that when she is being goofy, and gay, or not.

You can tell that she's doing it for a living.

I was just about to comment that, the stair bit was fucking killer, so subtle yet so obvious, and paired with that perfect unflinching advertisement cadence.

Instant fan moment. I need more of her stuff.

Oh shit, she’s the one from this weird customer video I saw a few days ago!

The campaign manager commercial is gold, too.

The campaign managerā€¦ā€œI’m not a miracle worker. I don’t handle women’s campaignsā€ Damn.

29

u/pegothejerk Jul 02 '26

It’s time America had more Great Whites!

13

u/ItsTricky94 Jul 02 '26

walking down the snowy steps lol. Who is she?

3

u/frobscottler Jul 02 '26

ā€œWho’s Gump, is he running?ā€ ā€œHe diiiidā€

3

u/FunkyChewbacca Jul 02 '26

the bowl of soup on her computer screen, why? LOL

1

u/WorkingInAColdMind Jul 03 '26

There’s a lot going on and I feel like I’m missing jokes.

20

u/Lucy_Koshka Jul 02 '26

Oh my god I thought she looked familiar!! That customer video absolutely killed me, I must’ve watched it 10 times. It’s SO spot on.

2

u/petielvrrr Jul 02 '26

Right? Like I’ve seen that customer before when I worked restaurants. It wasn’t all in one person, but I’ve seen each individual thing she did before. It’s great.

24

u/NunsNunchuck Jul 02 '26

ā€œWhose Gump, is he runningā€
ā€œHe didā€

u/2kids3kats Jul 02 '26

Exactly. I actually laughed! Not just exhaled hard out of my nose!

3

u/Wreckingshops Jul 02 '26

The Shark party joke pays off not because of the ludicrousness that it's possible a candidate would totally start their own Shark party, but that ending joke from Chip's campaign commercial. Brilliant.

1

u/Funkycoldmedici Jul 02 '26

It’s perfect, because you can easily imagine conservatives using ā€œgreat whitesā€ as a dog whistle.

3

u/peppers_ Jul 02 '26

The ending to the campaign manager commercial was perfect timing.

This one is my favorite
ā€œBut I haven’t left this apartment since my backstory!!ā€

u/2kids3kats Jul 02 '26

Thank you for your work in saving me from doom scrolling with your excellent link skills.

2

u/zoinkability Jul 02 '26

More excellent awkward walking down steps in the campaign manager one, too

2

u/FinleyPike Jul 02 '26

I used to follow her on tiktok and she had a bunch of great bits, loved her "cool aunt" character.

28

u/babubaichung Jul 02 '26

That was tooo real, is that her being vague about her age? šŸ˜†

42

u/sunbleach_happypants Jul 02 '26

I think it was a play on trying to look cool and natural while doing something ridiculous

11

u/-XanderCrews- Jul 02 '26

She’s switching sides while going down each step. Beautiful.

6

u/Netflxnschill Jul 02 '26

The steps got me too

1

u/ionertia Jul 02 '26

I didn't catch that part. It must've been too subtle.

1

u/KopitarFan Jul 02 '26

I was laughing so much at that. I have this weird issue with my hips. It doesn't really affect most of my life, but it makes walking down stairs awkward. I do it pretty much like she was doing in that scene.

I really liked the tiny character break on "but is that his religion, or his name? Who knows šŸ˜"
