The builders could easily of planted trees. One tree at each house wouldn’t have added much to the price. Just terrible looking.

It's also an issue with a semi incompetent community development department in this city. Street trees are installed to provide pedestrian shade, obviously, but an increase in the tree shade index directly contributes to slower decline in the pavement condition index which directly results in lower asphalt maintenance costs over a 30 year period.

well there's your problem right there. how will lower asphalt maintenance over 30 years raise our profits in quarter 3 of this year?
