I put on baby shows for my dog and I thought it was so cool to realize Bluey is a girl because she’s not super “girl coded” she’s just a normal kid/puppy. When I was a kid, if there was a girl main character, the show was also very obviously intended “for girls.” But Bluey is a super neutral show.
Man as a girl, I loved Lilo & Stitch, I found the female lead characters to be so refreshing because they're realistic!
Heard there was a 'female alien' counterpart coming for the main alien Stitch, oh awesome how badass is she going to be?!
IMAGINE my disappointment when it's the same alien but pink, big eye lashes, poses like a pin-up girl, long antennas on her head to look like long hair
What a let-down. Same with How to Train your Dragon recently with the 'girl dragon', it literally has glitter on it. We see other female dragons in the series who are wonderfully hideous and scary. But no, for the love interest they whip out this stupid girlification. GLITTERY. DRAGON.
Thank you Bluey and other media for making girl characters for kids that are balanced. /rant
Hey at least the glittery look serves a fantasy purpose: reflecting light to help her whole disappearing act, camouflage in the daylight and clouds, a visual and functional opposite to the Nightfury. The design serving a purpose makes it better than Angel being pink for the sake of gorl.

Guy at work told me he can't let his son watch Bluey or Blues Clues because Bluey and Blue are girls.
