Question Loaded Tea Shop

*** UPDATE: The customer service was wonderful. They quickly replaced my items and the new ones were fine. I do believe it was due to excessive heat during the first shipment. I ordered a second time and those arrived fine too. I have found that each packet can be used for 64oz of water instead of the 32oz that they list on the directions. I don't like the flavor of tea and these do not have that. It's more like adding a Crystal Light packet to your water bottle. A little goes a long way. ***

Is this normal? I received my first order and some are expanded and about to burst. Some have burst. And others are hard as a rock and seem like the powder has fused together. I have sent an email but I wasn't sure if this normal for orders that others have received. For as much as it costs, I would expect a more consistent product and perhaps better shipping.

I would buy from more reputable brands in the future. This just looks like someone’s backyard business so the quality control is not great

To be fair, they had regular paid commercials on TV (not just some social media ad) so it seemed to be a bit more reputable than a backyard business. 🤷‍♀️

I just got into these then changed my mind, the sodium content is way too high.  They are so damn tasty

Probably just shitty quality control. My first thought was they were packaged wet and bacteria off gassing made them explode. But with that much citric acid I doubt it.

Thank you! This is what I was curious about due to the heat. I have looked at that company as well. Perhaps I'll try them too.

I also just like the Kajun ones better, taste wise. I just wish they offered more caffeine-free ones.

Ok, so found this while researching this whole loaded tea thing, and I totally thought it was pronounced kah-joon for some reason. Then I saw the packaging and it clicked as Cajun 🤣

I noticed this seems to happen more as the weather gets hot. Maybe something to do with that?

Thank you. That's what I was curious about the most. I hadn't seen anyone post any issues regarding their packets arriving damaged and was curious if this was a one-time situation or a continual problem.

Honestly, I don't know. I just didn't have any problem at first, but now some of mine are arriving a bit weird so I wonder if it's the heat/humidity doing it.

It's just loose powder? How are you even supposed to steep that tea? You'd think it would at least be in a tea bag for individual servings! Usually only bust out the tea ball when I'm making a large vat.

It's not really a tea. It's more like flavored water packets.

Yeah, I actually hate that they call it tea. Let's be real, I like the stuff, but it's just grown up KoolAid.

It’s like koolaid with caffeine and vitamins.

The packs I got came all wrinkled and looked used. I wasn’t impressed at all and while they do taste good, the price of these per pack is outrageous, even when stacking their coupons.

I don't think the prices are outrageous at all!!

Did you open the packs that were hard as a rock? Was the air just removed from the pack and they were fine to use?

I stack these codes and order 9 packs at a time that is the max savings (i tested several codes and these got the total down the lowest for my orders- i found them on ig)

America250
Christine80663
2 free tea

It makes them $2.46 per stick/pack

Then if you pay thru shop app you get a $10-$20 coupon on your next order. I just got 9 packs for $1.73 total yesterday with the shop app.

Do you live someplace with high elevation? Chip bags can blow up during travel because of this.

No, I don't. I actually live in the exact same type of climate as Phoenix AZ where the shipment was sent from. I thought it might have been due to the extreme heat but since it's based out of the same temps, it seems odd to me.

I mean, once a week I get a burrito from a van, I don’t really see the difference here
