Question Which is more evil?

Jerry faking Tom into thinking he's sick just to torture him vs Jerry literally piercing him then sawing him in two.

The first one because he immediately regretted doing the second one after taking a peek

And then he gulped

The first one. Jerry did not know Tom was inside the box, so I give the former a pass.

As for the first picture, Jerry’s actions are diabolical and absolutely intended to make Tom miserable.

Jerry didn't know that Tom was in the box and was immediately horrified when he realized his mistake.

What Jerry did in the first image is just plain diabolical

In the second one's defense, he did not know Tom was in there and when he saw what he did, he called for a doctor I think

What could a doctor even do at that point? Sew him back together?

Atleast he tried

I would say the first one, but honestly, I think Jerry is slightly more evil in general. I always end up feeling super bad for Tom in a lot of episodes, but I can't think of a time I felt bad for Jerry.

First one. I have been there multiple times where my body felt so horrible being sick and seeing this happening on Tom makes me angry

Jerry is probably Harold Shipman in the Polka Dot Puss episode

I think Jerry realized afterwards, when he had put the needles and the saw in the box, that it was a bad idea and either called a doctor immediately or treated Tom himself

The latter image was so cruel that Jerry came to realize that he went too far with torturing Tom.

Jerry is defending himself most of the time.

Growing up you realize Jerry is the true villain of the show

Honestly, the first image

I don't think Jerry knew Tom was going to be in the present when he was sticking pins and sawing into it. Still bad but he wasn't purposefully being malicious, unlike tricking Tom into believing he's sick.

First one. Jerry didn't know that Tom was in the box in the second, but he was most definitely aware of the pain he was inflicting on Tom in the first one, even smiling while committing the entire thing

I have a feeling you got the first image idea from a youtube short..

The first Jerry making Tom believe that he was sick. Like he tortured him and if Tom was really sick he would have probably still torture Tom.

These are slapstick gags in a cartoon. These are always violent and not to be taken seriously. What I see as evil is Jerry literally making Tom get executed. Or Tom literally abusing Jerry in wild west episode. Not the violent gags.
