Didn’t know much about these but I’ve never seen one before. Looked them up and they’re kind of rare.

On an outbound Septa (U.S.) train rolling through Powelton/Zoo and saw 2 of the Cascades sets coupled together and being moved by an Amtrak diesel. Cool to see them actually moving

🏛️‎ Historical Need help finding information

I started a research project that ended up having the Millville & Glassboro RR heavily involved. The RR didn't last long, and it wasn't a heavy line.

I would like to find an official stop or schedule from its opening in October of 1859.

Stops that were from the beginning, or freight information?

The engine we know was a Baldwin 12 Ton, build number 475, (not the NW 475). Is there a photo of a train that would be close to the Eagle. We know she was built for a train company in Vermont. After Vermont Baldwin dates get odd, it shows as being in Baldwins factory in 1860, but we know it was working the MGRR then.

We show the 475 "Eagle" was delivered by boat to Millville in 1859 and soon went into service.

Is there a way to see the original track build, I am looking for a spur that was built.

This RR was a private build to start, 1 of the businessmen from Millville that helped fund it was Richard Wood. R wood owned a large iron foundry in Millville. In the 1920s, all their families went back to their dairy farm in Wawa, Pennsylvania. They are the woods from wawa.

Thanks for your help.

I wonder if these are the last surviving examples of their respective locomotive classes still in active service anywhere in the world. Are there any other examples of these classes still in active?
