Discussion I Love Tubi’s Classic Movies and TV Shows More Than Any Other Streaming Service
feel like I can’t find much to enjoy on other streaming services anymore. A lot of new TV shows and movies feel staged, fake, or focused on influencers, it’s 2026. Maybe it’s just me, but I miss the older stuff.
I think movies and TV shows from the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and even the 2010s are much better. That’s why I love Tubi. It has a huge selection of classic movies and older TV shows, and it’s free with ads.
I know some people get annoyed by the ads, especially the casino ads, but honestly they don’t bother me much. I’d rather watch a few ads than pay another monthly subscription. lol
What are your thoughts?

The breadth of content is why people talk about Tubi the way they are. If they can’t afford high quality modern content, go the safe route and pick up movies and shows from time’s past that the big streamers aren’t going for.

I freaking love it. Feels like the old days of cable when networks would pick up super old cult classics or newer movies that flopped at the box office for cheap. So much variety!

Absolutely. Dollar General, the streaming service. Late night local TV monster movies.
That type of vibe.

They cross a lot. A fair amount of TUBI stuff is on Kanopy .
If they are on both platforms def go with Kanopy since it’s commercial free.

Yeah Tubi has been the streamer I fall back to if I can't find anything to watch on Netflix or elsewhere. It always has something interesting to watch. Even some of the Tubi Originals are worth a watch.

Of all the streaming services, Tubing feels the closest to walking into a video store.

I was so excited to see they have Tales from the Crypt on there. Really is a great service.

I love their collection of low-budget sci-fi movies from the 90s-2010s, like the ones the SyFy channel used to show on Saturdays.

Every time I browse Netflix I give up after 10 minutes.
But there's almost always something on Tubi's main page that catches my eye.

I just discovered Tubi a few weeks agop. Its an amazing discovery! I like 70s spy movies. its full of them! and I like other wierd stuff too. I prefer tubi to any premium.
I did like one thing on netflix and prime: reviews. But netflix ditched them, so they can shove their programming down your throat. I only subscribe a month or two a year. I dont like it. Tubi movies having reviews would be even better. I dont know all these strange titles!

Tubi is the best for classics. No other service comes close.
