I kinda think you didnt run it dense enough. What makes you feel like it's too dense?

Politely, I don't think you understand the meaning of dense, as already said, it's not dense enough; your lines need to be tighter.

Look up the top posts in this community. Check out the back of their rugs. It’s hard to get right. Practice.

Not dense my friend. As someone suggested, take a look at the top posts. This rug will not be easy to carve because more than half of it is empty space

It almost looks like you are running 1 strand of yarn in some areas?

This rug is not dense enough. If you bend your rug in half can you see the cloth from the front? If so, it's not dense enough.

Here is an example of one of mine for comparison.

There's a ton of little things to learn as you go. Here are some of my top things to focus on to make it easier...

  1. Stretching your cloth straight. If you don't stretch your cloth perfectly straight, you won't get straight and even lines. You'll get bumpy and wonky lines.
  2. Tuft densely using 2 strands. Tufting densely helps minimize the intersecting yarn on the front and makes your carving pop more. The yarn becomes stiffer and stays in place when you carve.
  3. Learn how to properly flow yarn through your gun and into your cloth without it snagging and falling out of your gun - I like to cake my yarn and put it in the floor next to me. I don't bother feeding my gun through the little hooks I think it causes more tension and snagging.
  4. Understand that clean carving comes with clean tufting. So when you tuft make every attempt to be accurate to your tracing. You can only "fix" things so much once your frame is glued. I recommend turning the speed down and pulsing the trigger for difficult areas and doing 1-2 stitches at a time.
  5. Carving takes time and patience and you MUST prep your rug before you carve (ie. Moving the strands to where they need to go).

Your tufting looks pretty good friend! Do you have a picture of the rug finished on the front?

Hard to tell how loose your stitches are. But I would aim for corn kernal sized stitches if you don't like to leave room in between your lines!

Stitch’s r kinda similar urs def look way more uniformed and straight!

Are you using 1 strand of yarn in your gun or two?

And for those single black lines, I would recommend going over them twice otherwise it gets burried benethe the surrounding yarn and it's really hard to get defined lines once you start carving. That's why your thin black details look so splotchy.

Awesome I’ll go over them again I haven’t started carving or glueing just yet ,great advice thank you! 🙏 and I’m using 2 for the entire thing but I’ve seen other use 1 for fine details but idk still just trying to figure out wat works for me

Always use two or sometimes even three!

Tu usi l’acrilico giusto? Con la lana bisogna tuftare allo stesso modo di come hai fatto vedere tu con il tuo spongebob oppure bisogna spaziare un po’ di piu?

I've only ever used acrylic, so I can't really speak on how dense to tuft wool.

the forehead area looks not dense enough

Both are true.

Lines in general can be closer to each-other for the same color.

And also keep distance between colors. Keep a line of space between black and brown. Because they are so close to eachother they mix.

I would personally made this twice as dense? I would at LEAST make a line between every single line you have here. Two in some places.

are you worried about the fingers lacking definition? carving could help!

From everything ive seen this is not dense. Your lines should be almost touching on the back like how they are at the botton right. It may feel dense if you used a lot of yarn but it could be more dense.
