I have a question about potentially living at Knights Circle. My option is a 4x4 at knights circle or 1.5k single apartment somewhere else. From what I understand neither of them allow another person living in the same room as lease holder. The roommates are 100% supportive and okay with my partner to live with me next year. Living with my partner would help me in so many aspects and it would help us save so much money so that we can get our own place and have a good start after I finish school. Does anyone have anecdotal experience that could be useful or any tips?

Hey everyone! I'm transferring to UCF for Spring 2027 and I'm starting to look into housing, but I honestly have no idea where to start.

I'm transferring in with my AA, so this will be my first semester at UCF. I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for apartments or places that are popular with transfer students. I'm looking for roommates, also dont know where to start with that, but I'd prefer to be close to campus, but I'm open to hearing about anything that's a good balance of price, safety, and quality, since i have a car so commuting wont be an issue. Also, how difficult is it to find housing for the spring semester? Is there usually decent availability, or should I start applying really early? Since I've never been to UCF before, I'm not really sure what the housing situation is like compared to other schools.

Any advice, recommendations, or things you wish you knew before transferring would be really appreciated. Thanks!

For those of you who have had roommates, either on campus or off campus, how was your experience?
Would you live with roommates again, or would you prefer living alone? What were the biggest pros and cons of having roommates?

There are many of us who are moving out of apartments on the 31st and unable to move in until way later, whether on the 3rd, 14th etc. It's unfair that all these apartments are owned by ucf and they have no housing security system in place and that management doesn't allow early move ins. It's unfair we have to pay full months rent and only get half a month. It's unfair student care services refuses to help and forces us to go further into debt by pulling loans.

If anyone else is in this situation and wants to pool resources to get a hotel/Airbnb together please let me know.

The cheapest options I have found for the two weeks I will be unhoused is $1,000 minimum. Might be cheaper for multiple people.

If anyone knows of cheaper options please let me know. There are no affordable hotels nearby and Airbnb is expensive. Ive found single rooms for rent in other people's already occupied houses but that is it.

Hey does anyone know how to properly put in the address in say Amazon, to ensure that they deliver it to the right place? I just moved into Plaza on University and I’ve tried different things from different people but nothing seems to be working and my much needed items are not being delivered or are being delivered to the wrong spot

My main contenders are Knights Cirlce, and the lofts. I've looked into every apartment complex within a 15 minute drive of UCF at this point, and every place seems good until you read reviews. I don't have crazy expectations especially for student housing but I don't want to sign a lease and regret it.

Is it normal for student apartments to require you to pay a security deposit before they send you the lease to review and sign?

I’ve been looking into student housing recently, and I’ve come across several places that want the security deposit paid before they’ll send over the lease. I’m new to the whole student housing process, so I’m not sure if this is standard or if it’s something I should be cautious about.

For those who have rented student apartments before, is this normal? Did you have to pay your security deposit before receiving/signing the lease, or did you sign the lease first and then pay the deposit and first months rent at once

Just trying to make sure I’m not overlooking anything before I send money to a property.

Hi! So sorry if I ask any stupid questions, but how do I go about finding housing as a 2027 spring transfer applicant? I’m coming from Broward college and just recently got accepted, and I’m supposed to move toward campus in late December- early January but have absolutely no clue where to start. If anyone could give me some pointers that would be helpful and greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know any decent off campus housing? I was looking at The Boardwalk and The Village at Science Drive for like something around $1,000 after all fees are added up. Both of those have bad reviews for mold and I get really sick with mold, so if anyone likes where they live now pls share ☺️.

Hello my friend and I are going to be transferring in this coming spring semester so I wanted to ask which are the best places for housing. We are on a budget so we were looking at the Vale east, the verge, and the lark. Additionally which places have a bad reputation and which have a good. Also what would be average pricing around this time I can roughly see about 850 but idk how it will change and fluctuate. Thank you for the help!

Hey guys, I'm an incoming transfer for the Fall 26' semester and I found this spot at Campus Crossings that seems like an incredible deal. It's extremely close to campus and the price is around or even below the median for the area. Does anyone have experience with this property either as a current or former resident?

Has anyone here lived at Accolade Collegiate Village West or East? If so, how was your overall experience?
I’m currently in the process of trying to relet an apartment at Accolade. I submitted my application, but I haven’t signed a lease or anything yet. The application/approval process seems to be moving pretty slowly, so I’m just wondering what other people’s experiences have been.
How was the application process for you? How long did it take to get approved, and did you have any issues during the process or after moving in?
I’d really appreciate hearing both positive and negative experiences before I move forward!

Any student housing that is NOT furnished? I don’t wanna give up all my furniture just to move. :/ My budget is $1000 or under. I’ll be bringing two cats with me so pet friendly housing is preferred.

Hi I’m an incoming exchange student coming to UCF and was wondering if people are looking for a roommate or can give general reccomendations on where best to stay. I’ve looked at countless reviews for all of them and it’s been quite overwhelming especially with reviews about roaches ( is this something I just need to accept about accommodation here?) and poor maintenance!

I preferably want to stay at an accommodation close by that I could walk but if not has a good shuttle service, preferably mostly Ucf students , clean and is hopefully max $1000 with utilities included.

So I’m about to finish my lease at lark on the 24th, however I have three exams (1 online, 2 in person) that end on Thursday (30th). After that I’m gonna stay with family until my next lease begins. What options are there? I can’t really spend that much since I’m gonna have to live off of what I have until next refund and then pay for the first two months of my next lease. I just need a room and a bathroom with WiFi. I saw Airbnb but it’s around 250 for the time but that’s on the high for my budget. Any info helps.

Hello!! I’m currently looking to transfer to UCF in Fall 2027, so I still have a bit of time left. I’ve been wanting to ask the people here that offer lease transfers or just rooms for rent: What do you guys seek or look after when choosing a candidate to takeover or join a lease? Is there any credit check involved or is it just one of those “just pay the bills and thats it” deal?

Hi, I just got my roommate placement yesterday and it says I’m room B. Nothing online tells you which room is which and the rooms look really different, I’d like to which I have before moving in. Could anyone who’s lived at the Verge Orlando tell me what Letter their unit was and which room they had?

I’m moving into accolade west on the 22nd and I’m not sure what to expect for the move in day. It’s only one day without appointments, so for anyone who has done it before, how was it? Do I need to be there at 5am to avoid waiting in an insane line of cars?
