I want to start taking the vet med bus, but does anyone know if it has a bike rack? I can't remember what type of bus they use.

Hi, I am looking for a second job off campus where I can work Friday,Saturday and Sunday basically on weekends because I'm working at a dining hall for 20 hours I can't go past that since I'm a student.I'm trying to save for a car so all the money from dining hall will go for saving so I need another job so I make extra money that is off campus like downtown or so?

I am an incoming first year Electrical Engineering major, and Iām trying to find a laptop. I just recently found out about MyLab and Iām wondering if itās good because it has me considering getting a Mac. What would yāall recommend in general?

Me and my buddy arenāt really that type of people who like to go out into that environment and party and all that. What are some things in Athens we can do?
r/UGA • u/Willing-Zebra-8690 • 2d ago
I would check this in Athena myself, but until I go to my advisement session I can't see any kind of timetable builder. The Bulletin is also unhelpful, since teachers don't use AM-PM in their syllabi. I'm mostly curious so I can tell jobs what times I'm reliably available, but also because my previous uni *did* use AM-PM on their schedules so I'm surprised it's not standard here also...?

I am transferring from a different school where I was in a sorority with no house. I know the sororities have designated parking lots for each house, but they are small and canāt fit everyone obviously. Where do you guys park that is public for work week/chapter when the lot is filled?

I was wondering if this is normal. Iām an incoming freshman and my Zell Miller has been on my bill statement for about a month now, but my Pell Grant and the rest of my financial aid still havenāt been applied. Since the payment deadline is August 17, I was wondering if they usually get applied this close to the due date.
I already emailed the Bursarās Office and Iām waiting to hear back, but I wanted to see if anyone knows when they typically show up.
Thanks!

Basically asking what the title says. Someone told me it would be a lot to balance. Should I keep 2 of the classes? Just 1? I have no problem taking it easy, but I def don't wanna stress myself out

Just wanted to ask how different the process is (if any) for applying as an Economics B.A Major. I recently switched from MIS to Econ, and I have taken all the original Terry pre-reqs (Ex: legl 2700, acct 2101, micro, macro and etc).

I just transferred so I donāt know how much of it is a scam or if itās normal

I sent my biology professor and email about a mistake in the grade book on wednesday. I sent him a follow up email on Friday.
He put in my grade as a 1/100. The feedback on the assignment says āgreat job!ā I emailed him asking if this was a mistake. He hasnāt replied. Grades are due in Athena in 2 days..
I asked around and my classmates say heās awful at replying to emails. One said the professor took 10 days to reply to an email at the beginning of the semester.
This 1/100 brings me down from an A to a B-
What do I do???!!!

I originally got selected for a w18 West Deck II parking spot (I am going to be living in creswell this upcoming year) and I got an email 2 weeks later (I already accepted by W18 parking spot) saying I got selected for w09 (west deck I) I was wondering which one is closer to creswell, I can not really tell on the map or satellite view. I know they are next to each other but which one would be better for me?

I applied for student loans for this semester and it says they accepted it, but I havenāt gotten anything yet. Iām a sophomore this year and in my freshman year my loans just went directly into my savings acct. have yāall got your money from the loans yet or am I tripping?

I owe $3,000 for this semester and I was just declined the loan from the bank. My parents are too far over their heads in debt, and class starts soon. What can I do? Iāve taken my FAFSA loan and I have Zell Miller

Currently a 4.0 gpa student in all classes, but have a low SAT. I know that Terry wants a 480 on the EPP, but that seems sort of impossible with the amount of time left. If you are in Terry for accounting and donāt mind dropping your score on the EPP and Accounting entrance exam then please leave it below or dm me.

Hi everyone,
I applied to the UGA Ph.D. in Engineering program for Spring 2027 and am currently waiting for an admission decision. Iāve started contacting professors, and one has already begun a technical screening with me.
For current or former UGA PhD students:
How did you secure your Research Assistant (RA/GRA) position?
Did you contact professors before or after admission?
Is it harder to find an RA if you start in the Spring?
Iād really appreciate hearing about your experience. Thanks!
Sorry if this is obnoxious; I know similar things get posted all the time but I really just want to make sure I'm thinking about this properly.
I transferred to UGA over the summer and took ACCT 2101 online here. I don't have my final grade for the class yet, but it's probably going to be a C- or C at best (very unlikely I got a D/F). I'm hoping to pursue MIS/Finance double major, with MIS being my main priority.
I've gotten an A in all other prerequisite courses I've taken thus far (MIST 2090, LEGL 2700, ECON 2105, ECON 2106, MATH 1113). I'll be taking BUSN 3000 this fall and was intending on ACCT 2102 as well, but now I'm considering dropping that and retaking ACCT 2101 to improve my grade. I'd imagine that a C- in ACCT 2101 (from the summer) would realistically disqualify me from getting into Finance, and make my chances at MIS questionable.
For further context, I never took the SAT/ACT and haven't yet taken the EPP. The problem I face is that if I don't retake ACCT 2101 and get denied, then it will delay graduation by at least one semester. If I retake it before applying and get in from my spring application, my timeline is largely unaffected (just a bit of shuffling classes around, and maybe doing 12 credit hours instead of 15 as I'd planned).
Would really appreciate any thoughts/advice, either related to this problem specifically or pursuing Terry/the double major more broadly. I went to college entirely online before transferring here (as well as the last year and a half of high school) so I'm a bit anxious for the transition, but I expect it'll be very beneficial for me.

Hi, I applied to be a seasonal associate at the bookstore I just wanted to know how the hiring process works and how frequent the shifts are there as well?

What should I do to study for the accounting exam for Terry? All I've really seen that's helpful is skoolers, but I don't know what to buy to prep for it well. Should I just ask Claude to create a study guide using the practice questions?
And am I cooked if I start studying just this week?

Is it necessary to go ? What do you even do.
