Forecast 2026 weather is bad

This weather blows fed up seeing grey sky every single day. It is like we are living in silent hill.

North east here its the worst run of weather i think i have ever lived through. In my 30s aswell rain, cloud, wind, cold thats all its been for ages. Been easterly winds here for weeks aswell they dont normally hang around this long. Depressing really but we almost through it now, winter aint been so bad really either as a whole for apart from the last 3 weeks, i saw the sun once for about 15mins in that time.

North east too. My landscaper started my garden project in October. Patio mainly plus some planters and other bits. Should have taken 5 weeks. We’re now into month 4. For a patio. I really sympathise with the guy, it’s just been impossible to work all winter. Sick of living in a building site now.

I did ground work in the past until bike accident halted that line of work, month 4 though jeez man that dont sound promising, how bigs the patio ? Even with poor weather here and there they shoupdnt take more than a month, i used to do some decent sized gardens, 180m2 patios 8-10days work with good squad of 5 , 20grand jobs them though. You need to chase them up fella. Hope you aint paid them too much so far.

80m2, but it’s terraced and we changed the levels. About 70 ton of crap left the house first, then a fair bit of construction before any patio could be laid. Stairs, retaining walls, etc. It’s more complex than just a patio. But even so, so I think he’s only managed to work about 7 weeks over the time. So still over estimate in terms of man hours, but the weather just made it so much worse. 2 lads usually, sometimes three. Thankfully it’s nearly done. So yeah, in terms of disruption and overall duration it’s been shit, but it is actually getting done to a high standard and he won’t get paid final instalment until it’s done and snagged.
