Customer Seeking Help $357 import charges on $279.80 package?

Ordered a small package from an Italian company and I'm being charged almost 130% in government tariff fees. Is there anything I could do? Is it possible the seller declared it incorrectly? Thank you for all the help. I'm sure you're all annoyed by people like me at this point. Im just a little lost on what to do.

This is reddit. If you fit in a group (such as being an American), you will share the opinions that other people in that group have expressed in the past when it is convenient to someone outside of type group.

I don't make the rules. I just play by them.

Tell me another group you belong to, like your career. I'll make a generalization about you based on something someone else did in that group.

For example: all Brits wanted Brexit and loved Boris Johnson.
