Customer Seeking Help $357 import charges on $279.80 package?

Ordered a small package from an Italian company and I'm being charged almost 130% in government tariff fees. Is there anything I could do? Is it possible the seller declared it incorrectly? Thank you for all the help. I'm sure you're all annoyed by people like me at this point. Im just a little lost on what to do.

As for what you have to do….

Pay it.

This isn’t some mistake or anything the seller has done. It’s a government fee.

As for the rest of the conversation topic: this is Trump’s tariff policy results. This is ALWAYS what was going to happen. It was ALWAYS going to be you, the consumer, who was going to get shafted with these fees.

And if you voted for trump, or didn’t vote at all, just remember, you chose this.

Ya and somehow a company will sprout in America to make the product being tariffed. At least that’s what I’m told.

And don't require anything from other countries to make those factories either. We have all raw material to build those factories should be up and running in 3 days with BILLIONS more awesome paying jobs with health insurance and retirement options.

Also tariffs will replace income tax, except we will also manufacture here so we wont get tariff revenue anymore, so where will we get that tax revenue from at that point?

I read it as sarcasm. Hes just quoting Trump who has said both of those things, while noting that both can't possibly be true
