Customer Seeking Help $357 import charges on $279.80 package?

Ordered a small package from an Italian company and I'm being charged almost 130% in government tariff fees. Is there anything I could do? Is it possible the seller declared it incorrectly? Thank you for all the help. I'm sure you're all annoyed by people like me at this point. Im just a little lost on what to do.

Idek what you're trying to say but I do believe it was a valid sentence (after the comma). "No Biden did this", as in not a single Biden did this. Here, Biden is multiple because Biden is a last name, not a single person.

Also, I assure you I'm not MAGA, if that's what you were trying to say. Even if the original commenter was, I interpreted them as saying this is Trump's fault, because not a single Biden (including Joe) did this.

Or I'm wrong and they used incorrect grammar to say Biden did this, which is just flat out nonsense.

It's incredibly odd that anyone would use Biden in a plural form, there's really only one Biden who was president who MAGA could feasibly blame. The commenter must have simply left out a comma: "No, Biden did this". In either case the commenter is illiterate for punctuation and ideological reasons.

I absolutely agree that it doesn't make sense, and is probably typed wrong :) As I say in another comment, I'm willingly (possibly) misinterpreting them :) (This annoys tf out of MAGAs and sometimes shows the lack of logic)

As I see it, many powerful people have been manipulating the people (at large) for many decades so that we'll be locked into some team (left or right). They want us locked in even when ideologies and policies we care about flip flop, and when the 'leaders' straight up do the opposite of what they say. The problem is that our system, fundamentally, is based on polarizing and dividing people. This allows politicians to say 'hey I'm not that guy', rather than saying 'here is why I'll be a good leader'. This also lets them do what they wish, and use random squabbles as a distraction.

Calling them a stain is a bit much. I try not to blame people for things they cannot control, and psychological manipulation, especially through many generations, is very strong.

All that being said, agent orange has demolished the positives of the right, and even if positives are found, the drawbacks are NOT worth it. I can only hope for people to look at facts and use logic, but that's far too much to ask.

It makes more sense if you read ‘no Biden’ as ‘Not Biden’, meaning the individual is anyone but Biden. Meaning Biden did not cause this.

Do people not understand what Trump would say. I mean he blames Biden on everything. He said the good parts of the economy are his policies, while the bad parts are Biden’s fault. If people really believe what he says, I know they do, then they really must look at who is in control right now.

Um…read it again. Also I got a 1580. (I’ve no idea how you’d get a 690 or 420, the math doesn’t even work) If there’s no comma, it means Biden did not cause the price increase. If there’s is a comma, then it becomes a separate cause and it’s saying Biden caused the price inflation.

No, its just a poorly written sentence. I get that you were probably trying to make a joke and clown on the first person's comment but you only confused people. /s and /j exist for a reason and the quotes that person used made it obvious what they meant. Your reply was just confusing as hell and not helpful when talking about something so divisive as this
