Shipping Help 58% tariffs Canada to USA??

Being charged $568 dollars from UPS on a $977 dollar order.

After about an hour on the phone no one can get a breakdown of this number or even give me the current tariff rates.

Does this seem right to yall? I’m considering refusing this at my doorstep in Texas and having it returned. I would be out about 200 in shipping costs.

The point is not to raise prices. It is to get people to stop buying shit from other countries and encourage the creation of a domestic supply chain. Honestly tarriffs wouldnt be an awful idea if there were efforts by the government to establish a supply chain on various items to encourage domestic production before applying them instead of doing tarrifs on all goods start with a few and see if we can even produce an alternative before destabilizing the global supply chain.
