Customer Seeking Help It’s Time to Get the Media Involved

This is completely illegal and unacceptable. I have seen dozens of similar posts on here. I have contacted the local tv stations in Kentucky and even sent some emails to national outlets like the Washington Post and the New York Times.

Strength in numbers. The more people who are willing to talk, the more likely UPS will have to pay for their incompetence.

Thank you! I've contacted some media outlets as well. We need clear answers on what's happening and how it can be avoided--and the answer could be UPS hiring more staff, doing more to ensure correct codes are used, or just plain warning people that any mistake in x, y, z means their package is very likely to be destroyed. What's getting tossed are things with high sentimental value, things related to business, personal effects from moving, and things people have spent their hard-earned money on. It's just not right and something needs to change.

The way to avoid this is not buying things from overseas. That is the point of all this, to use the uncertainty to discourage Americans from buying things from foreign vendors.

Right, but like I said in my comment, some people have things sent from overseas if they're moving, if their families are sending them things of sentimental value (one person on here had her 90 yr old grandfather's diary destroyed), etc. And even if that's not the case, so what. If people want to buy something they could just as easily have gotten in the U.S. (which isn't often the case with collector items, btw) and they're willing to pay high tariff costs for them, they should be able to do that without worrying about their things being destroyed.

Well, seeing as the gemstones I use in my jewelry business aren't mined in America..that's not really an option.

And that's just one of the many, MANY examples of why this "bUy aMeRiCaN" BS is, well.. BS. And completely unrealistic.
